ST SW episode 8 to be filmed in Dubrovnik/Croatia

The Croatian website that first published the images (DuList) threatened legal action, not Lucasfilm/ Disney.

Oh, I see, I see. I was thinking along the lines of Lucasfilm/Disney. Is legal action actually possible over spoiler photos? Surely copyright laws wouldn't cover such a thing unless one entity was profiting from them. Then again, if their photos are being used, I guess there are some artistic rights needing to be preserved.

I hate to be negative but I am getting a really bad vibe from these behind the scenes pictures - Doesn't look or feel like Star Wars at all! I did love the Blade Runner feel to the windows we saw though... I was really hoping this city was the Exotic City but the extras all look like posh people from the 1800s - Not an alien in sight. And if (big if) we are seeing Hans funeral I think that will bog the film down big time. Everything I saw with TFA felt right straight away...

I don't know, maybe it's too early and we have no context either

Soo.. the site that took unauthorised photos of the set, probably using either a telephoto lens, an invisible flying radar proof drone AND/or put a camera in one of the styrofoam bricks is upset about ITS' artistic integrity being threatened? Methinks that they got a desist and destroy from the mouse and are running around trying to sop up their mess.

Anyway, we now have an official Rey/Finn on Space Horse scene, so I am more or less happy.

They don't like pictures of props that could potentially turn out to be money-making toys in case those Asian sweat shops start turning out counterfeits.

Ooh. I got to see the space horse. Don`t think people should worry about it not looking Star Wars enough, this is a location that needs a lot of post production work obviously to integrate with what they are shooting now. Nobody expects, or want it too look, or feel like it being Dubrovnik. Have doubts of a funeral scene for Han Solo. As others have stated, it is not really in the characters nature to have a very formal closure like that, also any Star Wars film moves quick, and we had funeral scenes for Shmi and Padme, and of course Vader, but all of them work very good because they are short, visual and we all know whats going, emotionally for the persons being left with grief. And then, we move on to the next space battle

If any complaints with TFA, i think we could do with more aliens, both the cute and weird looking ones, but maybe even more of the grotesque and scary sort, in this new chapter. Aliens often create a good portion of anticipation for the unexpected to happen. I also want to se a more badass Phasma, taking her helmet off.

 

there is rumor that Rey is crashing the speeder into the wall. So Finn and whoever else is riding the space horse. At the moment they are working on the stair running/jumping set and the boat is back at the harbour. I need to keep a little low profile at the moment, since one British paparazzi was thrown out of his old town appartment and escorted by police out of the city. Probably the guy who did the pics of the guys/girls in costume.

 

do you own a website? or did you post the photos online/photo sharing site, if so that is probably not cool and they, this site or Lucasfilms has every right to take legal action. If the pictures are taken down and you don't do this in the future I am sure you won't get sued but who knows, just play dumb and say you did not know it was against the law that is what I would do...

 

That looks too short to be Rey in front of Finn - are we sure it's not Kelly Marie Tran (or her stunt double)?

I thought these photos had to be legally taken down? What Is the difference between these you posted and the ones that were posted last night?

 

The pics from last night were from shooting and were done by whomever (probablly illegal). The pics I posted are from stuff visible and accessable to all visitors at the moment.

yep, maybe someone who lives there and just kept a webcamera running. There was even this video of the scene for a short moment, before it was taken down.

 

If they lived there wouldn't it be Legal then or do all the residents around there sign NDA's ? or what ever you call it ?

 

they probably got paid not to do something like that and see what happened.

 

I believe NDA is Non Disclosure or something like that people probably had to sign those who lived there ?
