I love when Star Wars attempts to explain itself or give us backstory, because that's always when we get some of the weirdest material. It's always something totally off the wall and they just throw it out there like: "Yep, here it is. Enjoy!". (See also: "Darth Maul has robot legs and is alive and here's how that's even possible", "We sent our villains to Space Australia and now Mandalore is totally pacifist", "Midi-chlorians are a thing", The Prophecy of the Chosen One, every single thing that happened when Obi-Wan went to Kamino, The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise, and even back at the starting point of the (OT-starting-point) saga, really: The Time Obi-Wan Tells Luke an Insane Story That Includes the Phrase "I Was Once a Jedi Knight".) I mean...I just love it when they try to explain to me why all this crazy crap is happening.

 

Technically I believe both Sepra and I are old enough to have been your very young mom, so it is theoretically possible, as horrifying as that is. But mostly it's that we're past the age where blasting Star Wars at college kids is socially acceptable behavior.

 

It was such a beautiful day here after a long time of absolutely dreadful weather. Spring has finally arrived and everything will soon be green, just like the screen in Episode VIII

 

I can't believe they had the audacity to use green screen. WTF.

 

But.... Pratical effects?

 

You mean like, real actors? Nah, too mainstream.

But I just kind of laugh at the idea of cruising in a low rider blasting the ROTS soundtrack and throwing snacks out the window. Like, some of those things are not like the other.

 

I'd like to thank the artists who crafted the Anakin and Obi-Wan CGI characters for the PT. I really believed I was looking at real people who were obviously in love with each other.
