The "I can take whatever I want" and the invasiveness of the mind probe is too much for me on the creep-factor end.

Poe's scene is difficult enough and does not have that line in it.

As Kylo gets put into his cell a dark shadow of an alien emerges from the back of the dimly lit cell....."Annie?!"

    anakinfansince1983
I see, understandable. To me it definitely cemented himself as a villain in VII. I just wished he would've left his helmet on in that scene, the creepy synth voice with the creepy dialog would've just worked well together.

And the scene with Rey was even creepier as initially conceived if you watch Daisy's audition tape. He was physically touching her face there. The scene with Poe was very creepy as well, it was simply creepy in a somewhat different way.

It's what makes Rey turning it back around on him, or Poe recovering pretty fast and going back to being his awesome, charismatic, charmingly likeable self, all the more satisfying and cathartic. They didn't let this creepy jerk beat them, or at least not long-term.

I'll be the first inline to watch that.[face_tee_hee]

Jar Jar is SW, we all know it's true.[face_whistling][face_devil]
    PT-Rise and Fall of Binks
    OT-Jar Jar's legacy, the Empire
ST-The redemption of Binks by his daughter Rey Rey Binks.

but you realize that Jar Jar knew the person who Kylo is obsessed with.

That makes the question of "who's Rey's mother" all the more, umm, "interesting."

I would accept it as long as there is a Padme-esque birthing scene of Rey... with Jar Jar doing the birthing and showing him dying of a broken heart afterwards..

I don't think you are supposed to be feeling "attached" to him. He's compelling, not "likable". I don't find Myself attached to Cersei on Game of Thrones, but she's compelling as hell. It's a true testament to how good Kylos character is though, that a lot of people feel compelled to root for him in a way. That's a sign of a truly memorable villain.

He's interesting, but I don't "root for him" at all. Like not even a little tiny bit.

I wish I found myself attached to Cersei on GoT...;) well not so much Cersei..eww.. just the actress.

In all seriousness though, this I agree with Evetssteve10 he is very compelling as a villain goes but I guess that's why LF casted Adam Driver for this role.

There's a difference between liking watching a character and the character being a good person. There's a lot of characters out there who are absolutely abhorrant people but I find so entertaining to watch/read about.

Yeah finding a villain compelling, or interesting, or fun to watch doesn't automatically mean sympathizing with them, or rooting for them, or wanting to see them redeemed. I found Joffrey Lannister interesting to watch, but in no way did I "sympathize" with him at all or want any "redemption." Same with Ramsey Snow/Bolton for that matter, or The Joker, or Hans Gruber in Die Hard (BTW, RIP Alan Rickman), etc.

Also, Olivia's dad on Scandal. He is the devil in a human person but I never want him to die because he is just so interesting and awesome to watch.

As I feel like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I love Asajj Ventress enough to cosplay as her several times but ordering Savage to kill Feral was still ****ty behavior.

    hi there !

I voted that Kylo should be redeemed, and noticed we are almost 70%, because it seems to me really unfair if the scriptwriters made the ST villain to be Han and Leia's son and keeping him being a 100% evil character as Palppatine, Darth Maul or some others deep villains. If this is the storyline for me it is disgusting.

and regarding Adam Driver's talent, It would be much better to get him from letting the audience hating his character in VII, to bringing the audience to love his character at the end of the ST. That would be awesome, because even if Vader was redeemed at the very last minute, the audience did not love his character, hi did not touch audience's emotions as Kylo did with very few scenes.

I highly disagree with that. People freaking love Vader. The emotions they felt was being terrified of him instead of any emotions because we didn't know he was Luke's dad yet (and neither did George) but it was still that.
