ST Who should be the Male Lead? Finn or Luke Skywalker

Han Solo and Lando Calrissan are both non-Force users who had a powerful hand in helping shape the outcome of the war.

I have zero idea where this poster is getting that Finn can't affect change because (so far) he's not a Force user or already in a position of power. Hell for all we know Finn could be a major military figure by the time IX closes.

 

The time for the 'Awakening' has gone, it has been stated that this applied to Rey actually realising that she was Force sensitive and to a lesser degree Ren's capitulation to the Dark Side. To have Finn being suddenly Force sensitive would be the worst thing to happen to the franchise.

Finn has served his purpose, he's firmly in the back seat now.

 

We both know that there were a LOT of Jedi back in the day, and even Luke found enough potential Jedi to start a new order before Ben Solo killed them all. So why does Finn showing FS in the second movie strike you as wrong for the entire franchise? The force awakened in Rey, but that doesn't mean she's the only new force sensitive in the entire galaxy. Now obviously I don't believe Finn has to be FS to change the course of history, but the idea that him showing the talent later on would ruin the franchise makes no sense to me.

Sounds like agenda driven, wishful thinking to me.

The question is, why do you need to believe this? Is there a personal favorite character that you feel Finn's obvious prominence is somehow blocking?

I've only read posts from you that diminish the importance of/potential of Finn. That might be the "agenda" people are sensing from your posts.

Luke should be the lead Finn is just to boring of a character to be a lead. And Lukes story is not done and I can't support the mindset that just because it's a new trilogy that the focus should be focused solely on the new characters. Luke needs to be the lead in this film to do this film justice.

I can only speak for myself but I personally Finn boring. If you don't more power to you but he shouldn't be the lead the focus of EP8 shuld be on Luke/Rey and Kylo.

 

What specifically did you find boring about Finn?

 

I would honestly like to know why you don't like Finn so much. I've only been here a short amount of time but rather than subtly accusing you of racism I would actually like to hear why you spend most of your time posting **** about Finn.

 

He posts things about everything not just Finn relax, its just COJ, it just his way.

 

Everything pretty much. Nothing interesting about him that would make me care about him as a lead character. Rey is not that much better either.

I'm sure he does post in other threads but he consistently appears in Finn threads and mostly with negative one liners about Finn. I would honestly like to know why. Is it just humorous baiting? Did he have high expectations for Finn and was severely disappointed? Did he not like the character concept at all? Does he think Finn is taking time away from a character he prefers?

I would like to know.
