    So I pre-ordered this from Overstock.com on Tuesday afternoon (cheapest price I could find - $20.19 shipped). Its listed as shipping on or near the release date of May 3rd. To my surprise I got a shipping notice last night and it should arrive tomorrow! :D

    It's all because The Jedi Academy Training Manual erroneously states that Mothma was at one time possessed by the spirit of Exar Kun.

    AHH!! I love it! Leia finds out about her mom, Padme, I am so happy that they (assuming she told Luke too) found out who their real mom was! Can't wait to read the book!

    This book is not exactly my preferred era, but it looks awesome. I will most likely get it, it seems fascinating. I always loved the political stuff, and that this apparently does some rather strong trilogy linking makes me really want to get it when it comes out.

    The reviewer had many wonderful things to say about the story and how it fleshes out Leia and answers questions about the political landscape which gives rise to the First Order. I've heard there are many poignant scenes. Also it clarifies where Ben is at time of the novel and what Han is doing and that at time of novel
    which is 6 years prior to TFA. and Han and Leia are still together and Ben is 23 and with Luke
    . Again, I've heard that it is very well written.

    Ugh, it's so frustrating that people are reading poorly-written spoiler summaries before reading the book. This is the type of book that hinges on reveals so don't spoil it for yourself! :p

    I. No discussion of information from review copies. We respect embargos here. People who have review copies should too -- it's not just courtesy (though that's huge ) but also it's the rules.

    II. If you manage to get an early copy from a retailer, I won't stop discussion. But if you don't use spoiler tags, you'll get banned. Don't ruin this book for people.

    III. If you haven't read the book, don't read spoilers for it. You'll want to read this one. Trust me.


    As for the talk a few pages ago criticizing Coruscant for being corrupt etc, I am glaring at all of you right now. How dare you.

    I wonder if the book clarifies what's the difference between Chancellor and First Senator... because I can't quite grasp it as of today.

    From what I could see in the free excerpt, the Chancellor seems conspicuously absent from the Senate scenes.
