So, as was announced some time ago, we will indeed get an updated and canon version of the Complete Locations guide! Jedi Bibliothek has the cover and a preview here. Now that's excellent news.
How can this possibly be complete until the NU is "done"? I don't . . . I don't understand. Looks pretty, though.
It's as complete as Ultimate Star Wars is ultimate, but I still want the book. It'll probably mean recanonizations galore.
Agreed. I'm definitely interested in this kind of stuff but I don't think I would be picking one up after only a year. I think I will wait five to ten years before getting these kinds of books.
Thank-you for re-creating this page that I originally made, before it was deleted and I was blocked by a spiteful TROUSERS named Cade Calaryn.
Sorry, we're not going to forget you said that. Keep your offsite conflicts offsite, or you'll have trouble here too. Missa ab iPhona mea est.
I'd rather wait for the Complete Locations until the Sequel-Trilogy is done. Much better for the wallet and the bookshelf. Although I'm curious about what sizes will be given for the DeathStars in this book.
I wonder if Panaka still becomes a Moff. One thing that probably won't be there is the R-22 Spearhead in the Great Temple. (At first glance, it seems the preview spread is identical to what is found in the 2005 version, when it comes to the content.)
I never had the original Complete Locations, is it possible that we'll get a new canon map of the GFFA? Gesendet von meinem GT-P3110 mit Tapatalk
Unlikely. Those "Inside the Worlds" book explore precise locales, not galactic geography. That being said, the original book did contain a galactic map, but not the kind you're looking for:
Ten bucks says it stays in, if only to make things needlessly and pointlessly complicated. I will honestly be shocked if it isn't in there.
Star Wars: Graphics has already mentioned them. The book does not seem to have been very well proofread though - there's lots of inconsistencies - and it gives Midi-chlorian count figures for many movie characters - which seem to match up to Supershadow's figures, of all things.
Let's ignore Graphics. Pablo doesn't even seem to know it exists. And if I'm not mistaken, the original was written by a French journalist, who definitely has nothing to do with Lucasfilm.
It did have a Disney tag on the back. It seems to be a mix of material, including very late Legendsverse - the Falcon's length in it is 34.37 m, which I think first appeared in Millennium Falcon Owner's Workshop Manual (TFA: Incredible Cross Sections updates it to 34.52 m).
Yes, but potato chips with Darth Vader's head on the package also gave a Disney tag. ;-) I guess it's one of those things the Story Group doesn't bother with, like The infamous "Official Visual Story Guide" or the "Jedi Master Magazine."
Or the "Helmets" magazine series that's ongoing. When I google it, images with French language do turn up. I'm guessing that journalist did the work, it was published in France, and then Disney, for unfathomable reasons, decided to translate it into English and republish it?
I'm 99% sure the author simply copy-pasted Supershadow's figures: Anakin Skywalker = 27,700 Darth Sidious = 20,500 Yoda = 17,700 Luke = 14,500 Leia = 14,500 Darth Tyranus = 13,500 Obi-Wan Kenobi = 13,400 General Grievous = 11,900 Average Jedi = 10,000 Chewbacca = 7,200 Need To be Considered for Training as a Jedi = 7,000 Padme Amidala = 4,700 Beru Lars = 3,700 Shmi = 3,300 Lando Calrissian = 3,300 Boba Fett= 1,500 Han Solo = 1,500 Jango Fett = 1,500 Owen Lars = 1,500
Yeah, this is definitely from SuperShadow. Wow. The fact that this book exists makes the Story Group look horrible.
