Rick, it's a PT Social thread. I wouldn't go onto a TFA social thread and talk smack about how I hated what they did to Leia. (I would post Kylo and Hux gifs). I wouldn't go on the CT Social Thread and hate on Chewbacca. (I would of course make jokes about Sassy Jedi Luke)

It's not unreasonable that when you come on this thread you keep it in about the PT.

I haven't seen JJ's Star Trek in years, and to tell you the truth I haven't seen Into Darkness at all. The only reason I'd wanna see the new one is because they played a Beastie Boys song in the trailer, and of course, that's not a real reason.

I don't mind making fun of all 7 movies. Does that make me a bad fan or what?

 

I didn't hate the new Treks, but I'm also not a huge Trekker or anything, so I was just watching them as "something to watch" as opposed to "something close to my heart whose fate I feel emotionally invested in".

 

YOU'VE made fun of Obi-Wan and Anakin? NO.

Me too. Ironically considering my TFA complaining I really enjoy JJ's Trek

 

Oh yeah, personally I don't care, that's why I didn't watch the new Trek. Star Wars is the only thing I get worked up about, and it's more a curse than a blessing.

 

Thank you . Stating my opinion isn't a personal attack. Hell I didn't even say I disliked it. Even the over dramatic pic was all for fun and it's okay to not like aspects of the films, that includes the PT and OT. I think by now we all know I like to be sarcastic and have fun but I don't ever seriously post attacks on people. It's not my thing.

Funny enough, the complaints from some people about TFA are very similar to ones about his ST movies

I've only seen one Star Trek film. The 2009 one on the way back from a school camp a few years back. It was decent.
We watched The Castle as well, and I enjoyed that more.

About 75% of the movie I've watched, I've watched in a school related setting.

 

No!

 

I have never enjoyed a JJ Abrams film to this date.
