Are we still debating whether that’s the Falcon or not?

 

wow, i was more on the 5% side....

 

I'm not so sure, that rock is only covering some of the set. I wouldn't be surprised if they put screens up though.

So nothing of note has come out... they got this shoot locked down...

I imagine this might be a pivotal scene, given the tight security, flight restrictions, and that the three actors are there.

On second thought, the tight security may just reflect that it's being filmed out in the open with Mark, Daisy,
and Adam. At Pinewood they'd have no such worries.

 

After seeing those photo, I think the debate can now end. This is the Millennium Falcon.

 

Just been to the set in Crookhaven ,its impossible to get on the cliffs the road is blocked off,so i went to the other bay at mizzen head took some photos, cant really see much, but there is some activity, will be going tomorrow with better camera.

Might have a few yes, but still with a boat i'm not too sure if you can see anything the cliffs are high, if they are doing something on the cliffs then you prob be able to see, will keep you all updated.

Count me in as someone who thinks this is not the Falcon. The undercarriage looks too tall to be the Falcon. Maybe Luke got all Swiss Family Robinson on his ship and turned it into a more natural-looking home. There might be a stone dome on top of what we see, or maybe he rearranged the original upper structure LEGO-style, to make a taller home. He may have used local building materials as well. Maybe we won't see a practical upper, if there's a shot with Luke and Rey walking around in this home that is shot on a stage and reinserted later.

 

Whatever it is, its looks like its going to take a tumble into the sea.

 

Anyone else and I'll have to use the fingers on my other hand.

If that is the only ship it would make RJ's desire to have cast and crew watch Letter Never Sent make sense.

 

Locals are saying they're finishing filming at Malin Head tonight, moving on to the next Irish location. It was over so quickly!

 

You got that right. You got to be careful, or the wind will knock you right off the cliff.

The reason behind the odd proportions have to do with the fact that this is a very small section of the Falcon - primarily what seems to be a mere 1/6 (1/4 at the most) of the undercarriage. It is cropped significantly both vertically and horizontally. My guess is that it's being used for some close ups. And/ or they haven't yet built the rest of it.

 

I too have been thinking that the undercarriage looks to tall to be the Millenium Falcon. But I have seen other photos that look more in proportion to the Falcon. Maybe some of the photos have been stretched out, making the Falcon look pregnant?




The consensus seems to be that this is the Millenium Falcon. Let's say it is. There will be at least two landing sites for the Falcon on Ach-To: (1) Parked near the Force Tree (2) Parked precariously on the edge of a cliff- I would think that the original landing site is the tree. Maybe Rey is in a cave inside the cliff, looking for a Jedi artifact, a Lightsaber crystal (Geminiwankenobi thinks there might be a crystal cave in the cliff), or something. Kylo Ren arrives at the base to confront Rey in in the cave. Luke, who is with Chewie, and whoever else at the Force Tree, senses Rey is in trouble, and has Chewie take him to the cliff. Luke repels down the cliff to the cave and duels Kylo. But Kylo is no match for Luke, so he escapes. This would explain why the Falcon is parked dangerously on the edge of the cliff. I don't know, Something like this. I am just spitballing here.
