The thing is I value everyone's opinion. And if I put you on ignore you might post something (probably in another thread) that I may find very interesting. But in regards to this subject I just feel like you are beating a dead horse. We get your point, its been noted!

 

Interested to see what happens to the playlists once Bespin is out. Does Outer rim merge with the old playlist? I think that is the best approach otherwise you've then got 3 playlists to choose from and more down the track.

I get torn because I really enjoy Extraction as I'm sure most do but I also really love the old maps. I'm hoping with Bespin released outer rim gets merged. Still two playlists but the larger one will have a larger selection.

Or even better don't have separate playlists for dlc. Sure split large and small modes. I have no issues with that. I just want to be able to play all maps all the time and not have to pick a set.

The only other style playlist I could get behind is making a heroes playlist that has all HvV and Hero hunt so they can get out of main map rotation.

 

For what reason? What time is it important?

I was hopeful it was something about the cancelled Battlefront 3 but that artwork is fan made.

I don't know if I could put up with their voices for an hour, 30 seconds was bad enough. No offence.

 

I was just putting my thoughts on what battlefront 2 should do. The point is to voice my opinion. You dont have to like my opinion for it to be valid. Also yeah the person recording is using a adequate but not great recorder so our voices sound like ****. But yeah you dont have to cry over the fact that the vid is not what you thought it would be by seeing the tumbnail. How is something bad or not worthwhile cause you on first impression wanted it to be about something it isn't. Thats like being pissed cause a western was not a horror movie. it does not have to accommodate for the fact that YOU judged a book by its cover. Also arent you a bright ray of sunshine. If you have nothing constructive or worthwhile to say then keep your mouth shut. The fact that you wish I posted a vid on concept art for the old battlefront 3 is not really important........like at all. .I cant see the future so i didnt know that I had to make sure that when posting you knew exactly what the topic was. Seriously am I not allowed to post my thoughts on what this thread is about? Are you a freaking mod? No. Then you have no right to comlpain that someone posted something you did not want to watch. If you want to see concept art of the old battlefront 3 then turn it off and google battlefront 3 concept art. i am allowed to share my opinion on what this thread is about without having to accommodate your preferences. or do all our lives revolve around what you think is important or what you want? Seriously what the ***k dude? Also what was that second sentence suppose to mean? Time for what? Do my opinions only matter depending on if YOU wish to hear them or not? I found the best way to play Battlefront: Role-Play. Choose a certain skin and combine certain star cards together to make a balanced class. I played one match as normal Rebel soldier and the following as an Imperial Sniper/Scout. I played them both completely differently and ended up feeling as if I were a part of the universe.

My immersion was soon shattered by a enemy player driving a speeder bike in the trees on Endor. Rebel Scum.

 

I didn't think I was being impolite. I thought the video had something about BF3 in it and wondered which part it was. The video was an 1 and 16 minutes, too long for me to watch all the way through. I just wanted a time for a part that was relevant because (by the way I'm on Tapatalk where a box appears with the thumbnail so no title or description) of the thumbnail. To me that's misleading.

I think you are overreacting, just say oh this is my thoughts on Battlefront 2 so as for no confusion. That's what normally happens when outside links are posted, we (the majority and I) give the link and before state what it is and show how it is relevant. And it was but the thumbnail was misleading.

I think I was only trying to get the answers to what it was, no feedback other than I didn't have the time nor the stamina to keep listening. It is not that I don't want to hear your opinion, it's just when it is misleading. Keep up doing what you are doing because someone will watch it. I tend not to watch YouTube videos like that (or many for that matter) simply because of time and effort. I just don't have the time or focus to sit and watch for half a movie on a topic I marginally care about.

Really excited for Bespin. We should have news in the next 2 weeks. My guess is the dlc will be released like Outer Rim, last week of the month for season pass holders and he week after for wider release. Super excited for our first urban maps. That whole reddish/orange colour and architecture is something I'm excited to see how hey replicate.

Off topic - what's everyone else playing along with Battlefront? I'm switching between this and Overwatch.

 

Instead of making a battlefront 2, I think they should work on the one already out and add a lot more content
(adding more planets such as ones featured in the PT and maybe even a single player campaign)

It seemed kind of like an incomplete game with its lack of contact and didn't hold my interest very long.

 

Do you find yourself playing more first person on BF while switching with a game like Overwatch? I can imagine it would make things easier.

 

I'm weird, I switch it up on BF, going back and forth. No reasoning behind it, just whatever takes my fancy at the time.

 

For anyone that plays the Base Command companion app, they added 4 new levels for May the 4th with the last one being an seemingly impossible level with 50 enemies.

Also, the daily siege has changed into a set of 10 new levels. These aren't as hard, but give you a chance for a bunch of credits

 

I took a Battlefront break to play Uncharted 4, but finished that last week. Battlefront is back in my PS4, but I haven't played it since. Gotta get back up to speed before Bespin! It won't take long, since I kinda suck.

Is the app fun to play? I've always found game companion apps to be quite dull, but I'd be happy to be told otherwise!

 

The app is more strategy than anything else. I've played other game companion apps, such as the one for Injustice: Gods Among us. That was more like a button masher. The Battlefront app has you place game "pieces" from the Rebellion side in a circular map to prevent the Empire from attacking your base in the center. As he-guy suggested, it gets harder with more and powerful enemies. You can enhance your pieces with boosts provided in a rotating card deck. Certain boosts, like a tow-cable for a snow-speeder, are only available by performing certain challenges in the main game (for the tow-cable, you need to bring down a few AT-ATs). IMO, it's a nice game, but if you don't necessarily need the extra credits in the game (you get about 200 for each level you pass), it could get kind of redundant. It would be nice if it helped boost your character level as well.

 

I'd be all over it if I could get XP! Credits aren't enough of an incentive.

 

From what has been said over at the official forums, each DLC will be it's own little universe, just like Outer Rim is. That's why there's 4 spaces (3 blank as of now) on the menu page for DLC. And just like OR you select which one you want to play.

The reasoning is that each DLC will have one mode that is unique to that particular DLC and it's maps. This mode will not work with other maps. Case in point, Extraction. The reason we don't see it on the base game CQC maps has something to do with the way the map is coded for the cart's path. It's not just a matter of adding the cart into the maps, those maps were made specifically for the cart. I guess just like how only certain maps have pods that can drop on them, and the pods are always in specific places, etc.

Anyway, there's been a lot of talk that it will further fracture the player base. But that's not my personal opinion. I think like Outer Rim more people will play at launch than any other time. And then things will eventually even out again.

Anyway, whatever the new mode is for Bespin, it seems likely that it will be native to the Bespin maps. So therefore it's also likely the DLC can not be merged. No idea what that means for playlists though or if Bespin will have a similar or same set up as OR. I hope not. But I wouldn't bet against it.

 

One would assume that the company would offer a free trial weekend not too long after each new DLC pack is released, so those who didn't get the Season pack could try it out. And then maybe they could have a special week-long "trial" featuring all DLC packs after they've been released. That way, people can decide if they want to get the full season pack or individual DLC based on preferences with what they offer (like the particular modes or maps included).

 

Well they did for Outer Rim a few weeks ago, no doubt in late July they'll have one for Bespin. Unless you're referring to the game in general and not just DLC? On PC you can play free for four hours.

Ah, then like I said, they'll definitely do another free weekend for the expansion like Outer Rim.

 

Outer Rim's free trial was exactly one month after the general release (which was 5th of April). But the free trial also coincided with May the 4th, so hard to say if that time frame is standard procedure or if it was only to coincide with the specific date.
