Holy crap! Anybody visit the The Cantina Forum? It's another website but holy **** is it bad! The entire prequel section is angry manchildren complaining about the prequels. Imagine if the PT Section here didn't have any fans and that's what it is like there. The opening thread is so unironically hilarious, it became ironic. "DO YOU THING JJ SHOULD REBOOT THE PREQUELS AND MAKE THEM LIKE THE OT?" Everyone agrees and the hive mind is RLM to the max. Also someone said "TFA has the best plot since Empire." ****!!!!! Honestly unless you don't want a constant jerkfest to the 70s and 80s, this is the only forum worth going to.

 

Yikes, from what little I have read the forum actually seemed cool.

 

I lurked that forum and this one before signing up here. I visited especially the PT section on each of them. This forum turned out to be one of the rare PT friendly places on the internet and it's just friendly in general. The Cantina Forum is pretty awful.

I did say i got the lego palace theater yesterday, and today ive buildt it. A really nice set IMO, will buy more of this series when i have the money

I forget sometimes how fortunate we are that MOST people here are prequel fans. For every actual prequel fan there, there's about 20 that are "Yeah I like the prequels out of nostalgia but they are still terrible" or people are down right "Prequels were awful. Let me write a huge thread on rebooting/re writing"

I agree. It could've been a sweet forum since the layout it isn't too bad. (It's much better here) but the PT Section is full of PT apologists that give up any point once the savior RLM is mentioned. They are all like, "Yeah, the PT Sucks but at least...." Then a die hard PT Hater is like "RLM said..." and they are like "Oh wow. Thanks bro. I almost defended my point. LOL"

 

I think JJ should reboot TFA. He did it wrong.

Agreed AMJ , its better to continue with the story, than to make an unnessecary reboot that would keep us from having new and interesting stories. To play the devils advocate though, Deliveranze there were some users defending the prequels in that thread, so we shouldnt judge the entire website

 

LOL I know right. Honestly it's hilarious how many people spend time with this and how many are actually successful? Most of these people say they will rewrite the entire PT and then give up halfway. The ones that don't might get some success of course, but who really cares? It's amazing how people spend so much time trying to create their own PT but then totally give Abrams props for lacking imagination. Imagine the outrage if George had Stormtroopers, proto Death Stars, and Republic funded rebellions in Episode I. Now people want the OT rehashed to love some nostalgia from the 80s that has been irrelevant for 20 ****ing years!!! How many people would give a **** if Star Wars ended in 1983? I know most people my age wouldn't.

 

No, you're right, there are. Of course I guarantee even OriginalTrilogy.Com has some who do too. It doesn't justify the hate there and my posts aren't directed at anyone who loves the PT there. Hell, props to them, they have much more patience then I do but it doesn't change the fact that they are still under alot of scrutiny there and it isn't a legitimate place to talk about the PT unless you want a reboot or a new prequel trilogy.

 

PT is love, PT is life.

 

Agreed, it does feel unessecary hostile towards the PT (only having checked it out briefly, thats what i got from it), which is why i love this place, only place where i can truly love the prequels and discuss it with other people

AprilMayJune i finished Dark Disciple during my vacation, and i thought it was pretty good. Some parts were a bit weird, but in my opinion the overall story was nice, and its a decent conclusion to Ventress.

 

I actually would appreciate TFA being remade in the style of Lucas.

 

The Cantina is an awful place. I'd avoid it like the plague - very toxic. It's like looking into a world, where the Nazis won WWII

 

At this point I feel sorry for people who still can't get over the fact the prequels exist. Like is it that hard to move on. I get it you may not like it but good lord it's been over 10 years. I know some poeple probably have gotten over it but these internet people need help tbh. Also I think nowadays prequel hate kinda makes me laugh cuz Idc anymore, like, yes, go on, continue saying how GL ruined your childhood haha *sips fanboy tears from wine glass*



CIS Droid was that modular building expensive? I know that whole modular series is beautiful and kinda want it but prices kinda scare me lol also the droids in in makes it even greater

Im not sure how much it would cost elsewhere, but i bought it in a danish lego store for 1099 danish kr, which is about 1350 swedish kr. Not sure how much it would cost in dollars.

 

I cannot fathom caring about my expectations for any movie being unfulfilled so much that I'd still be seeking out places to whine about it 10+ years later. When you factor in that these are movies about a made-up fantasyland full of magical wizards, well...the sad factor gets upped a few notches.

I love when they play the "but but but a lot of people are complaining about TFA, so you guys are JUST AS BAD OMFG TRUTH MIRROR CHECKMATE" card. Uh, no: first of all, the bitching across the fandom is FAR less vitriolic towards TFA than it is towards the PT, and also TFA hasn't even been out for an entire year yet. It's not unexpected that the fandom overall might still be in an active-critique phase when the movie's still this new AND the trilogy's not even done yet so there's a lot more left to discuss and speculate on.

I especially love when they bring this argument up in the PT forum. It's like....let me get this straight: it's not OK to presume that most people posting in the PT fan forum would be PT fans, BUT we should all be expected to be raving, unreserved fans of TFA in a forum that's not even ABOUT TFA? WTF. No. That's not how...anything works.

Again, though, to echo your comment, DA: I do look forward to my martini made of fanboy tears when Hayden shows up again in some form. Oh, what a very glorious day that will be for taking pleasure in the suffering of others. I will laugh, and laugh, and laugh. *daydreams*

 

Hating the PT is just lame now. Those haters/critics/whatever are no different than people, who join wrestling forums, just to post "OMG WRESTLING IS FAKE"
