Rogue One [Official Info] Moroff in Rogue One

Provided that he doesn't get Zuvioed, we can now expect to see the truly excellent Wampa/Wookie/Fraggle Rock/Immortan Joe* hybrid, MOROFF, in Rogue One. Here is his new toy:

Gotta say. I think this guy beats both Bistan and Pao for me, in terms of alien coolness. Can't wait to see him do something badass, and then probably die.

Well, given that he's pitted against a Rebel Shoretrooper (Moroff VS Scarif Shoretrooper), it seems to be confirmed that he's an Imperial alien! And most likely on Scarif.

 

i think you have that backwards my friend.

 

Yeah, the shoretroopers are the Imperials.

 

I heard one of the reasons for the extensive reshoot in July was because Baldy Moroff looked a bit weird in the rough cut, so he grew his fur out. Furry Moroff looks good. He probably needed better sun protection on Scarif, anyway, since he was just wearing a loincloth and chestpiece/belts during the first shoot.

 

Did we see that Shoretrooper at celebration?

I remember there being different colored ones, but I don't remember the skirt (or whatever its called)

Nope, he had the skirt, just didn't pay attention to it.

 

checking my old pics and it's just the regular shoretrooper we saw. i do have pics of the figure in a display but i never noticed the difference.

 

Oh, shoot. Brain fart there. For some reason, my mind registered the shoretrooper as a good guy! Something about them is very different from the other gleaming and more menacing stormtroopers. Indeed, I felt that way about the Scout Troopers in ROTJ. They simply look like good guys.

In any event, nice to have Moroff on our side!

if anyone in this film gets Zuvioed I will riot. We need a freaking Zuvio film just to make up for what happened to him.

 

Yeah, though if Moroff gets Zuvioed, we'll have a new word for the phenomenon which is a tad more descriptive:

It's a shame that in the Celebration clip the background is so dark. I might try and lighten it up to see if there are any clues as to where and when this guy comes into play. He is wearing a breathing mask and seems to be toting some kind of blaster on his back, could he be one of Saw's mob?

 

Well, they've paired his toy up with a Scarif Shoretrooper, so I imagine he'll be a part of the Rebel ground assault there.

This might be the closest thing to a Zuvio film that we'll get. But, I agree.... a Zuvio spinoff would be nice..... co-starring Sarco Plank, perhaps.
