I'm loving this motley crew already, so I hope some of them live and we get sequels set during the OT timeframe, and/or possibly, in the post-ROTJ timeframe.

Personally, I most certainly believe some will survive. Having all of them not make it will be too dark to be honest. I'm thinking Jyn, Cassian and possibly Bodhi will make it out alive. My guess is Vader slays Chirrut, Baze and Krennic.

Based on Jiang Wen's comments at Celebration, Chirrut clearly dies, but I think Baze lives on as a force believer.

I don't know if they are going to change it now to invalidate the leak... maybe in the editing room or a reshoot to fix it?

Of course not. You don't alter a key moment in the film (that was already shot) just because a spoiler got out. In any event, most fans figure that a lot of these characters will bite the dust, so it's no big deal. How he dies will be a lot more important. Heck, I know Han dies in TFA, and the scene still gets me.

Too bad this is a movie set just before the events of A New Hope, which can safely say that most of the heroes and villains will die before Episode 4... But like what Jcuk said, it is very likely that Jyn and Acadian will survive, but not sure about the Imperial defector Bodhi though...

And maybe it's me but is it possible that Krennic dies but not at the hands of Vader... Who knows, he may survive Rogue One but perished along with Tarkin and co. during the DS1 explosion!

I have the unpopular opinion of "Epic".

It is epic simply because of the visuals. If this trailer means anything, it's that Gareth Edwards will have the scale of the universe to a tee. The superb Death Star shots (holy ****! A Death Star eclipse!), the end shot with Jyn and that T.I.E Fighter... Vader.

Also, the music. Love the trailer remix of Imperial March.

Hmmm, with so many "Epic" and "Excellent" votes, I wonder who the six people are who went for "Meh" and "Hated it"... Die-hard OT fans who cannot accept new movies based on their favorite three movies, I presume...

I liked the trailer, but that brief clip with Old Ben talking and the tie fighter going up to the Death Star was better.

Why that presumption? I imagine there are also PT fans who don't care for the look, or subject, of Rogue One either.

1:20 thru 1:34 has an effective horn sequence. I had to verify that this was not by Basil Poledouris who did Starship Troopers. Perhaps there is a sci fi military score template that various composers are working from, but the fingerprint, at least in the horns, was pretty close for me. Poledouris also did Hunt for Red October, which has a passing similarity to RO in genre and theme.
