Actually its canon. Well at least the way he looked at his butt. He can recognize it you know. He takes comfort in that.

And for the record, I came to this board an Anidala shipper. But I was converted and now have two ships that I don't see as contradictory. I do love a little Obi with my Anidala now.

But yeah, for me I don't like Anakin being unfaithful to Padme so I'm a canon purist.

Also, there isn't a contradiction. They had a great friendship and loved each other deeply. Anakin was the only person Obi-Wan ever loved.

It was clear that Anakin loved Obi-Wan as much as Vader hated him. Even in the end, Vader was obsessed with Obi-Wan. They were soulmates in a lot of ways.

I think a person can take it however they want, but to me it doesn't disrupt much to ship them.
