That's hilarious Dandy, sounds like something I would do. I'd be curious as to what avi I was in it though, since I change them so often. And that dream has already come true lol, seeing as I laugh at many of your posts.

that's it. I have been patient, I have been tolerant, but quite honestly I am tired of people trying to take advantage of me because they know I'm a nice guy or that I'll forgive them.

I'm going to set an intervention and set my demands with these morons;

I mean really, why do I have to live with two Latinos? I should have known better- my own kind usually so selfish and self-centered.

 

EJC, I'm sure the common denominator is more "19-20 year olds" than Latinos. People are a spectrum, some are more considerate than others. It has nothing to do with being Latin.

And you probably ended up with Spanish speakers if you put down that you speak Spanish (or maybe just because you're from Colombia). My university did that.

 

Ok fine, I'm trying to catch up on Rebels after you all keep talking about it.

I have sooooooo many questions about how they are going to handle this. SO MANY. I honestly thought there was ZERO chance they were ever going to go there for a number of reasons until Maul specifically brought him up, so now it sort of feels like the writers have signed a letter of intent.

And if, somehow, those two do end up finding each other again, in the desert or otherwise, and Maul mentions:
A) Ahsoka
B) Darth Vader
C) Mandalore
D) Qui-Gon
E) ANYTHING AT ALL BECAUSE OH WHY STAR WARS

I will cry for days.

Also now that I think of it, wouldn't that be kinda interesting -- Maul facing off with a Jedi on Tatooine? There's a Recurring Theme that I'm not sure the writers will be able to resist. You know those nerds live for this stuff. (How, uh, embarrassing for them. )

Yes, that kind of behavior is common everywhere, and American fratboys are probably worse but that doesn't change that the stereotypical Upper class Latino- ( like the people I knew in High School) act in a way I have very little patience for, especially since I've dealt with that since my youth.

Really, guys. I know we've joked about this a lot in the last 12 billion pages, but for real: if and when it ever gets announced, you all know I'm going to be the first person you want to get a reaction from. Hell, even *I'm* kind of invested in finding out what's going to happen to me if they greenlight this thing. LOL

 

EJC, I grew up a couple hours from the Mexican border. I've been friends with, roommates of, been in relationships with, and worked with Latinos all my life. So yes, I do know, and I'm saying that I don't think groups of people should be painted with a broad brush. So it's fine that you don't like your roommates. I've loathed some of mine, but saying that it's because of their ethnicity is not appropriate.

That being said, I sympathize heartily. Hopefully they just move into another dorm room. I hate roommates and refused to ever have one again after a couple really bad ones. I would rather live in a van down by the river than live with a roommate.

 

Oh I wish I could help you EJC, or offer some sort of advice. Are you definitely stuck with these people, or is it possible to request a new roommate, if things are to that point? There's nothing worse than being stuck by the university with someone who's whole way of being is different from yours, to the point that it causes issues. I hope things get better; we're always here for ya.

Definitely wouldn't go this route though.

 

Ok- my words are being twisted here into something I am not saying-

I've lived around Colombians most of my life, I know what they are like- some are good, some are bad what have you- and I am certainly not condemning the entirety of the 500 million or so people that live South of the Texas border-

Im not attacking any ethnicity whatsoever- and it's very clear that where I'm coming from isn't being well understood, so let's simply leave it at that-
