So how long before there’s a story about how Disney really doesn’t like Rogue One and are considering pushing the release back indefinitely?

They actually have a "full version" on line. It is really well done. Gave me the chills all over again--Gillette definitely hit a home run with this one. Make me excited about the potential in this movie.

Watched Dr. Strange on Sunday and while I've heard news of the latest Rogue One trailer now being played before this other Disney film, too bad the earlier one (showed during the Rio Olympics) came up instead... Maybe the cineplex did not have the third trailer on hand, or forgot to play the correct one? :p

Still, it's always nice to see a Star Wars movie trailer on the big screen - beats what we watch over YouTube, that's for sure! =D=

It becomes a folklore bad movie that no one has ever seen.
Like that old Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie.
It was just done so Disney keeps the rights.

I saw Doctor Strange on Sunday and saw the latest trailer with it.

On the subject of tickets, Disney traditionally doesn't allow advanced sales until 30 days out (TFA was an exception due to the hype). So it'll be about two weeks for Rogue One if it's not this week

Hahaha, I should get one printed into A3 size and paste it somewhere prominent in the local mall near my condo... And confuse the non-Star Wars fans into thinking that Rogue One is a Jar-Jar Binks Anthology movie! :p[face_laugh]

And ManaByte, I guess the same will apply here, when it comes to advance ticket sales for Rogue One... Although in Malaysia, being less die-hard into Star Wars than Stateside, I think our advanced sales will probably start around two weeks before the movie is released - because that's the time I bought my ticket for the second day's midnight screening of TFA last year! =D=

Just going to leave this prediction here - R1 will end the "Disney has an anti-PT agenda" debate and will be a film that might not be as broadly accessible as TFA but the fans will go absolutely nuts for. I think the reshoots fixed what needed to be fixed. I wouldn't worry about the tone too much.

I agree, I think this film will be less 'dumbed down' for want of a better phrase. TFA has done its job and got SW back on the map. I'm confident R1 will be a solid film.

I think the nods will be done in a way that please most fans. I think it has a good shot at being more than just solid.

Putting the film firmly in the OT era could be a factor that works in the favour of R1.

Nothing wrong with using the movie to help glue the two trilogies together. It will mainly be New Hope nostalgia, but a little bit of Prequel reference wouldn't hurt.

I can't believe we are now only 6 weeks away from its release. The time has flown by.

Its going to be interesting to see if and how they reference the prequels. I wonder if any more Jedi or Force mythology may be seen on Jedha. On top of that you've got Saw who fought in the Clone Wars, so there may be some reference to that too. I'm sure there are other possibilities in there as well.

Does anyone else have the new Galactic Atlas yet? I've just got hold of a copy. Some interesting stuff in here:

The large temple on Jedha is called 'The Temple of the Whills'. The temple is held sacred by the Church of the Force.

Saw's base is hidden beneath an ancient monument, and is filled with skulls, as this building was once used to house the remains of the dead.

The Stormtroopers on Jedha ride atop very tall, long legged beasts, who somewhat resemble the Landstriders from the Dark Crystal.

    That sounds awesome.

Are you telling us that the Stormtroopers do not ride camels? ;)

Wasn't that where Yoda went to learn about the "disappearing trick?"

    Edit: Nope, it wasn't :p

I believe that will be the first canonical reference to the Whills, right? Very interesting! And it's nice to get confirmation that the Church of the Force also plays some type of role in this.
