Billie was not interviewed. No mention of how she's handling this either.

I wouldn't think she'd be interviewed right now, but I was looking to hear how she was handling it. Todd's 58 and is acting spokesman for the family right now. I get that.

Just wanted to hear how she was taking all this. I can't imagine.

Todd seems amazingly strong through all of this. Nothing about it is easy and it is horribly sad, but Todd seems to see the spiritual side of it and that's amazing. God bless the Fishers and their friends and families!

Todd is an ordained minister, he even has his own church. I'm sure his faith is helping and giving him strenght to face this horrible situation.

Some people have no class, I can't believe how many people are already trying to make a dollar off her name. Tee shirts, sweat shirts... even if they are donating some of the proceeds, it's terrible.

Thank you so much for posting those clips. It just goes to show everyone how amazing that family is, including Todd. I shed a few more tears while watching. I'm still trying to come to terms with this. At times it still doesn't seem real.

I don't know, but in the case of a celebrity who died very suddenly and at a reasonably young age, I don't think it's unusual. We know her death was heart-related, that's all.

In the meantime, I'm just going to leave these here:

I also want to mention that there are some very moving tributes to Carrie's battle with mental illness on twitter, under the hashtag #InHonorOfCarrie:

Thank you for posting the interview links! I was taken out for drinks and missed it but was getting updates. Throughout a bunch of bars in NYC's lower east side, I wore my trusty Leia Is My Home Girl T shirt, and with my even more beloved original 1978 doll (with the best Fisher likeness) in tow. Lots of cheers, toasts, hugs from crowds and strangers saluting her!

I ordered an "I don't need to be rescued" shirt with a Leia silhouette, not to help anyone make a profit off Carrie's name, but because it is a cool damn shirt. *shrug*

They still profited off her death just the same. I'm glad you've enjoyed your shirt.

The ones that say 1956 - 2016 are the worst, and least sincere. Simply wearing a Leia shirt would be different, as would selling one be. They don't hand out tee shirts at funerals...
When some one dies, you don't go to their funeral to purchase their tee shirt...

Sort of reminds me of, but it's very different. than...people who wear 9/11 tee shirts that say I survive 9/11 but live in New Mexico...

If it were just a leia shirt that would be different, I'd be fine with people profiting from that, selling merchandise, but this close to her death, using it as a obvious cash crab is of poor taste, to go around dressed up as a tomb stone so that some one can profit off you and her death...

I can see it now, a tee shirt vendor crashing Carrie's funeral... 15 dollars a shirt.

Each to their own...I'd buy an actual princess Leia tee shirt if I wanted a Leia tee shirt, not a shirt that quite literally symbolizes a cash grab seizing the opportunity of her death. It's like a concert tee to some major event...

    Whatever...
    I'm not feeling it...
Maybe now we can charge admission at her funeral to take photos with the dead princess, on the photo we can print "1956-2016".... then we can hang those photos on our walls in a frame, 15 dollars a photo...

Or maybe we can have a giant estate auction with a banner 1956-2016 and auction off her hair buns... and charge 30 dollars for admission fees, and we can have it right inside of the funeral home...

Anyways, yes... just not feeling it.

This explains how calm and positive he was in the 20/20 interview; he was so graceful. He'll be terrific ongoing support for Billie (as I am sure he already is).

Still trying to get closure on Carrie's passing, and I am so thankful for this forum and spending the year with so many other fans.

When Debbie passed a day later, I was not upset... I felt a semi happy peace for exactly all the things Todd said. It seemed perfectly right. Not tragic, but lovely. A true testament to their love story.

What is tragic to me is that Carrie passed when she did. In the strangest way it felt like a bright new star like James Dean or Marilyn Monroe leaving much too early. I know, I know... Carrie was sixty, she'd been around for forty years. But in this case, I feel the world has been robbed. If Carrie had passed ten years ago, it would be sad and tragic and I would be upset. However, in the past two years, Carrie has become a sort of Phoenix rising from her own demons and attacking and celebrating life in the best possible way. Why I thought the making of more Star Wars films with the original cast was important wasn't for the box office but for showing legions of aging now middle aged kids that they can continue to be the heroes that inspired them. I feel robbed for our society and culture because Carrie still had a lot more to say... Growing older can be fun, can be smart, can be brilliant, can be everything. I am truly going to miss her always.

That 20/20 special was beautifully made, the final scene with them singing together, you can just feel the love between them, it was so strong and pure.

Can't wait for the HBO special and to see what are they up to at Celebration in april.

Oh, and Princess Leia should not die in these new films. That is the type of character that should be presented as living on and plugging away for the righteous crusade forever. Carrie was supposed to make more money with each film... Hopefully they use footage of her in the ninth one, and give her estate the contracted amount. They CGIed her ponytail out, they can CGI and insert any smiling image of her celebrating peace in the galaxy, and think Carrie would love it. "Better than Botox!"

Not sure if this is the right place for this... but did anyone else think that the dress Carrie's wearing in the pic from VIII that Oscar posted, looked like the same fabric as Kylo's cowl?

I hope they don't cgi her inti ep IX, I think that would be tragic, she joked for years about GL owning her likeness but for them to carry on and make full movie appearances by her with this technology would be both disrespectful in my opinion, but something a huge corporation like Disney would no doubt be happy to do if it made "financial sense".

Agreed. I honestly think Carrie would want Leia to go on, I really do. She loved the character so much, and knew how much the fans loved her. A fitting tribute I think would be to let Leia survive the trilogy.

I saw Rogue One yesterday with my niece, I really hope CGI Leia is not the future. I saw that came home and then watched ANH and I just didn't fit right.
