Obi Wan's gotta be rusty with the lightsaber. Any bets that he actually loses to Maul, and Ezra comes to save him at the last moment?

 

I prefer if Kenobi has to be saved let it be by Kanan was knighted by Yoda over him being saved by some kid.
also Kenobi knows Kanan from the old days, it was Kanan who gave him the idea for the warning message in ROTS.

 

Sabine fighting with Ezra's lightsaber against some mando with dark blade on frozen lake?
Energy shield & dark blade + lazor whip, now how about finally getting that jet pack permanently?
Wasted plot twist with Maul & Obi, I mean everyone expected that, it was such chance for easy and fun twist about the vision (simply it being something different than that for Maul), but as much as I love Maul I hope they will finish him for good this time. I would be ok with him living long & happy angry if he wouldn't meet obi but with those 2 seeing each other he have to die this time.

The edited trailer looks good as far as containing the usual pompe to gain the usual fan fare. Probably best stuff is on the trailer,lol. Not sure on the content that remains to be seen of course. On alluded confrontation, hard to tell what it is, Maul looks to have been trekking through the desert on foot without use of his ship. He has his hood already down and lightsaber in his hand already when he first appears in the trailer, then the next shot after Kenobi's fire pit Maul is reaching for and igniting his saber we then see Kenobi posing with his. Witwer's crazy scream at the very end is fast becoming a rival to the Wilhelm scream on SW, its seems his only dialogue in the trailer,lol. An actual duel only appears between Sabine using what looks to be Ezra's lightsaber and Gar Saxon using the Darksaber. A Maul vs Vizsla they are not.

I don't think thats Rook Kast, but they could've easily used a different character model but then again, SOD was a comic and not toon form, so it may not mean anything. Bo-Katan looks strangely absent.

 

She's fighting Saxon.

Don't forget that Rook is older now. They could have easily changed her design to reflect this.

 

I was thinking Kanan as well. Kanan's more skilled than Ezra, Kanan hates Maul more, and Kanan and Obi-Wan met. I actually pictured a conversation among them pretty much going like this...

Obi-Wan: I'll burn his (Maul) body in the Dune Sea. He won't hurt anyone any more.
Kanan: Master Kenobi, my apprentice and I found out you were the secret to destroying the Sith.
Obi-Wan: Really? That's precisely why you have to leave. We have created a massive tremor in the force. If there's any hope of us stopping the Sith, they can't know we are here.
Kanan: We'll leave, and tell no one you are here. May the force be with you, Master Kenobi.
Obi-Wan: May the force be with you...Caleb Dume.

 

I would think this trailer also has to be combined with that strange Lightsaber trailer from November with the Kanan and Maul voice over which sounded to me like they were guiding and training Ezra and Sabine or just one of them.

 

Maul vs. Obi-Wan is on its way on becoming a running gag.

 

It's not about Obi Wan and Kanan, it's about Ezra and Maul. First off, Kanan does not hate. He doesn't like Maul, but he won't actively seek a confrontation or go for the kill like Ezra would. Secondly, Ezra could keep pace with Maul if Maul has been winded after a duel with Obi Wan, at least enough to distract Maul while Obi Wan deals a fatal blow. Most importantly, Maul has become Ezra's responsibility. Maul knows the location of Attollon because of Ezra. Maul is trying to get Ezra to betray or abandon his friends. And of course, it's because of Ezra that Maul found Obi Wan.
Either way, it's likely that Ezra and Kanan would go to Tatooine together. Kanan will probably have a conversation with Kenobi at some point. Though hopefully he doesn't call him Obi Wan.

They only fought twice in Clone Wars, it's not really a 'running gag'

Great trailer. Actually quite excited about the rest of the season now, not that what we've had is 'bad', just a series of missed opportunities.
And very psyched about Kenobi coming back. IMO, this was the reason to bring back Maul in the first place.

 

Obi-Wan to Maul: "So which body-part should I slice off next?"

 

I LMAO'd at Thrawn's Tae-Bo lessons. Do they really have to actionize the 'genius' character to make him more threatening?

 

I'd say it's almost definitely Rook. Both helmets have very similar cat ear like structures on top. No other canon Mandos have had a helmet like that. One could easily argue it's the same helmet, just redesigned to better fit with Rebels' art style (just like Vader's helmet, tactical droid heads, etc). The same thing portrayed using a different design aesthetic

 

Looks interesting. But for some reason, it didn’t leave me feeling as excited as the past trailers did. Maybe because I’m not really that interested in the climax ending of this season being Maul vs Obi-Wan Round 5. That voice acting was SPOT ON though.

Anyway, there was still some exciting stuff there, particularly the Rebel Alliance and I’m liking the Rogue One tie-ins. And I really hope that’s Yularen.

 

I hope that if they do do Yularen, they keep him as an Imperial loyalist and not have him as another rebel sympathizer just because he was with the protagonists on Clone wars.

Looks pretty cool--I hope the Death Troopers kick ass, but I'm also not sold on Thrawn suddenly having martial arts.

 

Well that looks extremely promising! Hopefully there will be less filler episodes!

Obi doing the same pose as with fighting with Grievous in ROTS? I'm hyped as hell!!!
