Vader was obviously amped in the previous issue due to hearing the news of Padme's death.

Don't forget that amplifications are playing huge parts in surprising power showings in Star Wars. Without any amplification, Vader wasn't strong enough to defeat Kirak yet, but somehow he will learn how to defeat him in the next issues.

So I get to meet Charles Soule doing his Curse Words tour on Sunday.

I really have no plans to talk to him about Poe Dameron, but I do want to ask him questions about the Vader series.

Is there anything you guys want me to ask specifically?

I don't know, if this is a good question, but I would ask if we will see some Vader/Clones action like in the old comics. I didn't like what he did with the clones in the second issue.

Can you please ask him if he's read or at least if he's aware of previous material (Legends) covering this exact time period?

That´s very kind of you! I would love if you could ask him if we will be dealing with a definitive number of Inquisitors, or if it´s open. I get the feeling the 7th Sister and the 8th Brother could be a little too young to show up at this point (unless they are portrayed as training in their late teens), so I´m curious about them being a set number from the start, or an organization in constant movement.

I never understood this deal with their rank being their name and viceversa, if ascending meant to change their name (Fifth Brother was perhaps Ninth Brother at some point?) or if it was something set from the beginning, so I would love to know if this inner functioning of the Inquisitorius is going to be addressed...

Here's two Vader images from the two different series that are quite ironic when viewed together.

Does this mean we're going to see the Grand Inquisitor killing Luminara in that comic?

Hachette in France did Star Wars Graphics books specific to TFA and ANH. This is a different book. Both utilize infographics.

I still love this book but it's hard for me NOT to love a book where Darth Vader is in it. And I'm totally okay he got smacked around because there aren't many characters you can snap their legs off and throw them off a mountain top and they're STILL going to win! I did like how the badass Jedi just gave up on the trials halfway through. And kept calling Vader "Creature" that was dope.

One thing I kinda dig about the art is that the artist knows when to show "Mad Vader" and not actually change the context of the mask, they just place the angle above the forehead so it looks like he's angry and he's furrowing his brow. (There is a little bit of an "elastic reality" in Marvel artists when it comes to conveying emotions of characters behind masks, think Deadpool or Spider-Man's eyes which can go wide and emote. It's not quite as pronounced here but definitely by changing how one is looking at Vader, they can show "emotion". Sorta)

Alright, first of all, shame on everyone for not giving me a heads up that Mr. Soule does not like to give serious answers. I had a lot of fun, but that definitely caught me off guard.

He also said that he was just wrapping up Vader #9 this morning.

Also, the comic shop took video of him answering all the questions, and as soon as they send it to me, I will link it here.

Charles wanted you to be prepared for an epic arc of Vader/Clone action. It will be one of the biggest romances in Star Wars I believe he said.

He purposefully answered this question as if Jedi were doing the slaughtering, when I tried to clarify, he said he already answered the question. (He said that slaughtering didn't fit within the Jedi code, so he didn't think it would be coming.)

So, spicer, you must already know Mr. Soule, as soon as I said your name, he recognized it, and said he had to answer your question seriously. His answer, "Yes".

He answered this one seriously as well. He said that it is spoilery, and that they would be getting into that.

Finally, I asked my question on the subject of whether or not Infil'a's eyes are depicted like they are (black with blue irises) because of artistic license, or due to Force Saturation, similar to Fremen and spice. He said that Infil'a was actually Paul Atreides and had to change his name due to copyright issues.

At this point the line was starting to back up, and I wanted to be respectful of everyone's time, so I thanked him and moved on.

Mr. Soule, if you see this, thanks again and it was a pleasure meeting you.

Every Sith turns into a creature though, Dooku calls Savage ''creature'' in the Clone Wars for example, Maul was kind of a creature when he turned into that spider-monster thing, Sidious turned into a monster when Mace deflected his Force lightning to him. Vader was a cyborg-human hybrid, similar to Frankenstein, it's only natural to call it monster.

Only Dooku was an exception, because his origin is based on Count Dracula movies, and he had to be a poster boy in order to deceive the other planets to his cause as a politician.

Fantastic! It´s the best answer for my question, because it means it´s going to be addressed in canon. Thank you very much for asking!!

Big spoilers incoming, courtesy of Florian at Jedi-Bibliothek:
as can be read here in German, Madame Jocasta Nu survived Order 66, and will be featured prominently in the series' next arc (issues 7-12).

"Vader’s story continues! Jocasta Nu, the Jedi Temple librarian, puts forth a desperate effort to gather and preserve whatever she can of the Jedi legacy after the purge. Vader and the Grand Inquisitor cannot let Jocasta succeed and are sent after her, as Palpatine views her as a particular threat. Her knowledge makes her almost a one-woman Jedi Order that must be stopped."

    well
I like this news. Always like Jocasta Nu and I'm hoping we see more Order 66 survivors. What some people have always wanted which is to see Vader hunt Jedis will be shown in this comic.

As for Nu as they say knowledge is power!!!

    What
Wow, I never thought that out of all Jedi, Nu would be one of the O66 survivors. Really, really curious as to how she survived. I certainly don't mind Jocasta being a survivor though. Looking forward to this!
