Full Series Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

So much this. Give it a year or so and most people will be singing the praise of the show. Although I will admit that the show has its flaws. Like only killing one rebel character throughout the 4 seasons so far. But I think most people will turn around. However I think there will be more people who will not like rebels then TCW.

 

SW Rebels ruined the Deathtroopers.. lol

 

Any reason that the new episodes aren't up on Amazon yet? The last couple of weeks, they've been up early but I just checked my Amazon app and they still aren't there.

 

they seem to have dropped the ball recently with the online release schedule. The episodes released at 3 am eastern last night on watchxd. I'm pretty sure they released them at 12 am eastern the week before, but now we're back to 12 am west coast like last season.

 

im telling you they should've just done the whole season back to back instead of taking a break after "Rebel Assault" if they did they would've been done the week of Dec 4th literally a week before TLJ.

 

It was a minor example but the point is that in order for the writers to make the Spiders a threat, they have the characters who are known to be crack shots suddenly turn into awful shots. They are trashing character history that we have all seen for the sake of plot convenience. There are other examples too .

 

I dont want to say you're wrong. But i think you want to change somethings purpose that doesnt want/needs to be changed.

Take a look in the SW-Book-Section: If you want something more mature and "up to the point" you're probably don't pick up a Book thats for young readers, you would choose the adult Stuff.

Basically that means, that we have an lack of Adult/Mature Content in the SW-TV-Section. (hello LFL )

But in case of SW Rebels, i think its perfectly fine how it is.

 

By which time everyone will be talking about TLJ and the Rebels finale will go by largely un-noticed. As frustrating as i'm sure the wait will be, I can see why they split it.

 

I think you're right. A lot of people complained about TCW and trashed it for the first several years that it was out, but in hindsight, many have flipped and called it a classic. I always liked it, but noticed a huge opinion shift. I bet the same happens with Rebels.

I wouldn't say that is correct. Part of the reason why peoples views of TCW improved because the show/tone of it got better. As the characters aged and so did the audience, it evolved into improved story telling and darker content was allowed more. Less child friendly and presenting better the realism of horrors of war.

Unfortunately Rebels can't do that as well because it is not allowed to evolve beyond the rating of S1. They have higher ups that will prevent Rebels from stepping out of its early made box.

 

I just thought of something...are they doubling up episodes to end S4 sooner and if so when will it end?

 

I think the reason we're getting all these two-part episodes is because Season 4 is much more focussed as the last season. It would be annoying if we had to wait another week to see the second half of the same general episode plot.

The mid-season break will be two weeks from now, I think. We got 3 more episodes till then (I'm guessing another two-parter and then a single).

Then after Christmas, it should air again soon. We'll have 7 episodes left. I think how soon it will end will depend on how many are linked as two-partners.

Season 4 (at least judging by what we've seen so far) may end up being the best season of the show. I felt like Seasons 2 and 3 lacked focus at times, but the pairing of episodes for this season seems to work.
I really enjoy Sabine and Ezra as a duo, and the romance between Kanan and Hera. I really feel the team dynamics again, and enjoying seeing the whole crew together.
And I really like seeing Captain Kallus, but I hope we get at least one episode where he is a main character.

 

is this really how they are gonna end this show? more filler episodes about Ezra learning the power of friendship and crying about lothal? man this show has fallen so far from season 2

 

That’s the exact opposite of filler. The main story is Ezra so anything that has to do with his story is almost certainly not filler. Also what would you do if your home planet fell under a brutal dictatorship and half the place was burned down?

How did the newest two episodes have anything to do with Friendship? The wolves don’t count since that’s a force thing.

 

Yeah, I liked season one for how tight it felt.
