I'm trying really hard to build a joke around the fact that Ocean Spray only uses 10% cranberry juice in all their products, but inevitably it comes out as a cannibalism riff. So.

Damn. Someone I actually cared about for once. Love the Cranberries.

Evidently she had thorasic spinal injuries that were worsened by singing and impacted her breathing. I wonder if that had anything to do with her sudden death.

    Very sad about this :(

An Irish singer dies suddenly, and in possible sustained pain, and you think a joke about an American drinks company could work?

I mean, I'm all for levity as a way of diminishing the severity of death, but as Watto would say...

Show of hands; how many of us heard at least one Cranberries song during a school dance/prom in middle/high school?

    *raises hand*

So I'm the only one who couldn't stand the sound of her voice?

It was definitely a distinctly different voice than what one would normally hear in music.

What a stunning voice - from angelic to angst ridden. A truly unforgettable voice that would never leave your head once you heard it. Her voice will just continue to resonate with the times as it could suit almost any era of popular and alternative rock music. RIP Dolores.

I wouldn't say that her mix of melody and intense delivery made her vocal particularly unique as there are MANY before and after her who adopted this technique. To an extent, even Lemmy from Motorhead mastered this with some of his songwriting. I don't think that aspect of her voice isn't anything revolutionary despite her immense talent.

There are a lot of angelic to angst ranges out there; they just don't have a west Irish accent. Maybe listening to less Nickelback and Dr Who would help finding them. :p

She pioneered the 'yodel' which was also adopted by Alanis Morissette, Sinead O'Connor and a legion of wannabes. Her voice wasn't for everyone but I loved it.

Milennial fangirls don't listen to the Doctor Who radio dramas; the decent sci-fi writing doesn't include squee induced crushes.

I like her voice, but wasn't a fan of the yodeling.

At the time, friend of mine tried to get me to like them. He did not succeed.
Then he hung himself to one of their songs playing on repeat.
    I guess that settled it.

Not too long ago I heard that song again, for the first time since, and it took a while before I remembered what I was hearing. I was really happy that it took so long for me to remember.

You’ll be pleased to know that for a period
Of time as a teen eager, whenever I went into a record store in central London I’d move all the Cranberries CDs :)

Pretty positive Juliet isn't a Millenial. Also I'm a Millenial and I love the radio dramas.

Also, Coldplay, before you start criticizing others artistic tastes, I'd suggest you sweep around your own front door.
