    Wait, is this real?

If so, the greatest pleasure I get from it is proving to @CrazyOldJedi that the desert/ocean planet is not Vandor. Seems to be Savareen. MSW actually revealed that name a long time ago (though without any description of what it looks like). I’d also suspect it’s the planet the OT-looking Falcon jets away from. Aquamarine and yellow-brown hues, very much unlike Vandor.

Looks like another Jedha/ Eadu situation, Crazy. Will you never learn, old man? ;)

If this is not real, I take all that back. :)

ETA: Yup, it’s real. Powell posted it on Twitter.

I wonder how they go from Savareen to Vandor for the train heist to Savareen to Vandor for the card scene. That’s pretty weird.

Savareen might still just be the name of that part of the planet :)

I've always thought that it's possible that we've only been shown clips and sequences from the first 2 acts only in any promotional material (trailers/clips/photos etc) in order to keep the entire 3rd act secret, and this seems to indicate that.

I think this film will be filled with twist after twist, and i reckon the main one could possibly be to do with the reason why Qi'Ra convinces Beckett to allow Han to join the team in the first place...it's not because they sense Han will be a good Pilot, or a good Smuggler ... it's because they secretly see him as a naive fool and predict he will be a good Scapegoat and Patsy for their nefarious deeds. I reckon the whole 3rd act will deal with how he overcomes this betrayal by everyone he grew close with (except the loyalty of Chewie) and track them down and confront them.(maybe with another time jump?)

Then right at the very end he tracks down Lando, finds out Lando wasn't part of the con, but wants a rematch to finally win the Falcon for himself (after he lost the game the first time), and the film ends with the rolling of the dice.

That means that every clip we've seen of Han piloting the Falcon, Han doesn't actually own it yet, cause he lost the first Sabbaac game against Lando. Lando is probably injured somehow, hence why Han and Chewie need to jump in the pilot seat for the Kessel run

UPDATE: So, basically the Kessel Mines infiltrtaion and subsequent Kessel Run escape will be at about the 65% mark of the film. The remaining 35% of the film, I believe nothing has been released or hinted at in any marketing materials, and I speculate this will deal with the speculated 2nd time jump that was once hinted at.

So I think the most obvious conclusion is that Beckett, Qi'ra and Chewie travel to Vandor on Drydan's ship and pull off the train heist. I imagine they need something on the train to complete the Kessel job. Once they have it they need a much faster ship than Drydan's so they recruit Lando and the Falcon.

Here's how I think the whole movie might play out -

Han (18yo) on Corellia with childhood friend Qi'Ra. They are into street racing / stealing cars.
Steal a car from the White Worm Gang
    Moloch tracks them down
Han in trouble with White Worms
Han runs into imperial recruitment centre to evade Moloch
Han needs to be off world for a while and signs with imperials to evade the white worms

    2 years later

Han is a mudtrooper assigned to Mimban
Decision to join imperials did not pan out as he's hoped
He was kicked out of flight academy for not listening to orders and demoted to regular mud trooper
He is looking for a way out
Beckett and Val are undercover on Mimban, disguised as mudtroopers
They are here to steal a ATDT transport to help them with a job
Han "randomly" has a run in with Beckett - thinks he is a superior officer
Beckett mentions they need help stealing a ship
Han says he can do that
Wants out of the imperials so sounds like a good opportunity
However before the plan to steal the ship, Han gets in trouble with another Mimban officer for goofing around
is sent to the lock up for a bit
he is chained to an aggresive Wookie
They hate each other and clash
Han is concerned that Beckett et al will leave without him if he can't escape, so Han and the wookie need to put aside their differences and work together to have a chance at joining Becketts crew and getting out of imperial army.
Rio Durandt (a pilot, and one of Beckets crew) appears and helps steal the ATDT transport.
Beckett / Val / Han / Chewie and Rio all escape off world with the stolen ship
    Hooray
Beckett agrees to drop Han, and his new Wookie companion off, but also tells them that he's putting together a bigger crew for a bigger heist.
Wonders if Han would like to be involved
Han agrees (and so does Chewie)
Beckett takes them both to meet Drydon Vos, a rich gangster
Han is a little stunned to find that Qi'Ra (his childhood friend from a few years back) is involved with Drydon Vos
    What a "coincidence"
Drydon Vos explians he wants to hire a crew to steal some cargo from a train
He will be very angry if anyone double crosses him
so he warns the team not to double cross him
    seriously
    don't double cross him
    that is very important
Rio Durandt is out of the picture now (he might have actually been injured or died during the escape from Mimban)
So they need a new pilot to help out with the train heist
    Qi'Ra knows someone
she takes the team to a den in the mountains
    Droids are fighting here
    for human's entertainment
L337 doesn't like this and attacks Clint Howard
Lando steps in and gets his droid friend to calm down
He and Qi'ra have some history
They try to convince Lando to help but they play a card game first
Han has heard about his ship and wants to try to win it
Han looses the card game misrably
    Lando laughs
This Han kid is naive and too overconfident for his own good
    Lando shows them the falcon
    Han still wants it
    Train heist happens
Train heist is interupted by marauders
after some back and forth Marauders steal the cargo
Beckett takes Han, Chewie and Qi'Ra to marauders base to confront them
    Showdown with Enfys nest
Revelation - Beckett and Enfys Nest are actually secretly working together to rip Drydon Vos off (OMG - shock twist!)
They got the goods, and now time to escape their seperate ways before Drydon Vos finds out he's been conned by everyone!
They needed the Falcon for a quick getaway after the con job
The team (Beckett/Qi'Ra/Han/Chewie) escape with the help of Lando and L337 and set off towards Kessel (for some unknown reason)
    They need something from Kessel
Qi'Ra raids Lando's wardrobe looking for and imperial cape to help disguise her as a rich imperial officer
Beckket dons a Skiff guard outfit
Han and Chewie are put in handcuffs as a disguise
On Kessel L337 tries to free droids
Chewie sees some imprisoned Wookies, and Han helps to free them
    They escape Kessel
Lando is injured in the escape
    Han has to pilot Falcon
    Chewie helps co-pilot it
    They do the Kessel run
    Everyone happy
Revelation - Qi'Ra reveals she suggested Beckett originally go to Mimban cause she knew Han was stationed there.
They needed a fall-guy for their plans and Han was foolish and Naive enough to fall for it
Qi'Ra and Beckett have now ripped off Drydon Vos and completed the Kessel con job, and now they plan to disappear
but they have blamed everything on Han
Drydon Vos is now coming for Han and Chewie
Beckett - "see you round kid ;)"
Beckett and Qi'Ra escape in Falcon pod
    Han in serious trouble

(*** at this point - the final act of the film starts, at which we have probably seen no footage or images from until ***)

Right at the end of the film, Han challenges Lando (in a new outfit) to a rematch as he really wants to win the Falcon.
    Han rolls the dice.
    Screen cuts to black
    End credits play

I wonder if Into the Maw means the Falcon goes inside of GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER, like Pinocchio into Monstro, either intentionally to hide from Imperials or others, or the Falcon goes in unintentionally. Maybe the outer shell of the Falcon gets pried off while escaping the maw and tentacles of GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER. Or, maybe Han jettisons the treasure into GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER.

So, Chewie now has theme music for his cooking and diner scene?

Hopefully, it's as catchy as Turkey in the Straw. Maybe it's also meant to be a nod to Steamboat Willie. Or, the chicken is the Falcon, and the pot is the belly of GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER.

Great job breaking everything down - I think the train heist is before Han meets Lando though according to the soundtrack titles, with Beckett and Val, and Val will die because she is never seen again after that.

I also think the time jump is 6 years or so. 2 years seems fast for Qi'ra to go from street kid to high ranking criminal. Also in Last Shot Han is heartbroken over Qi'ra and makes it sound like it's a recent event and that takes place only 3 years before ANH. Bob Iger said the film would go from 18-24, so I think the majority of the movie will take place when he's 24. My guess is also that Beckett, Qi'ra, Vos and L3 all kick the bucket. (Last Shot hints very strongly Qi'ra died in a tragic way).

Now I'm really curious how it all ends. I thought everything was going to go wrong on Kessel, but it looks like the entire last third has barely been shown in the promos. It looks like Han, Qi'ra, and Beckett go to some planet to drop off the Kessel bounty to Vos but something must go horribly wrong.

Also surprised it ends with Han winning the Falcon from Lando. I thought they were going to include in the movie some kind of falling out between the two of them to explain "That was a long time ago, I'm sure he's forgotten about that" and "You gotta lot of guts coming here after what you pulled". Unless that's a reference to Han maybe winning the Falcon in a not so honourable way? The dice are rumoured to be loaded....

In the EU the Maw was a cluster of black holes near Kessel that was nearly impossible to navigate through. Han and Chewie fly dangerously close to it when making the famous Kessel Run in the early Han novels. So I imagine that's the vortex we see in the film.

track 17 is the standoff? Sounds like that scene with Enfys on the beach is near the end of the movie. Hmmm

Lol. I think they only go to Savareen once, and it’s late in the film (after Kessel). On Savareen, we’ll see a final meeting with Vos (who brings his ship there from Vandor), the standoff with Enfys Nest and the Cloudriders, the final card game where Han wins the Falcon from Lando, a farewell from Beckett (where he tells Han about a new job from Jabba) and an ending with Han and Chewie flying off in the stripped-down Falcon. Hyperspace jump. Iris out.

Not quite. Looks like the Savareen standoff between Han and his crew and Enfys Nest and the Cloudriders is in the last act. We’ve also seen footage of the final card game between Han and Lando in the third act, what looks to be a farewell scene between Han and Beckett, and the OT Falcon jetting away from what looks like Savareen. That’s probably right at the end of the film. So lots of footage from the third act has already been aired.

Oh dang, that’s a good point: I never thought about them meeting Vos for the first time on Vandor.

Buuuuut then there’s this shot and the Falcon still has all the panels so it has to be before Kessel.

I don’t think the panels pop off during the Kessel Run, and that’s based on recent canon. In “The Last Shot” book that follows Han and Lando across multiple time periods, it’s revealed that Han simply stripped Lando’s Falcon of all its flashy accoutrements after he acquired it. That seals it for me. Han wins it on Savareen, pulls off all the panels and stuff weighing the ship down (as a hot rodder would do to increase a car’s speed) and takes off.

It is dangerous to assume that a special effect shot in a trailer is going to be the same in the finish film. You only have to look at Infinity War for plenty of examples of things that were changed either naturally through the production or intentionally to hide secrets and IW didn't do this first.

Hey, no worries :) - I'm sure I'll like the film regardless, but I am secretly hoping there'll be a lot more "final act" betrayal twists and turns than we have been led to believe  I think Kasdan has it in him to deliver something along those lines that subvert expectations...
