I reckon Lady Proxima is the white worm creature. Linda Hunt is voicing her whoever she is.

What I didn't realise is that Warwick Davies is playing the same dude he did in TPM (the dude watching the pod race).

The big news is apparently

Han has known Qu’ira since childhood and they’ve been through a ton together as orphans. Han proposes to her in the end of the movie and she declines him. She was definitely his first big love. I’m hoping I can get on board with the execution of this.

Also, it sounds like Han does slow play Lando for the Falcon. Losing the first game and fixing the second. The golden dice are weighted. Han’s been pulling scams and been around scammers since childhood. Never tell Han the odds of a dice roll!

It also sounds like some of the men’s rights folks and anti-SJW folks may be pissed about L3 who they may despise and see as a feminist robot who talks about equal rights for robots all the time. I had thought maybe the Solo movie would be the one with enough old school masculinity in it that those types would see this as their favorite new Star Wars movie due to it having a white male lead again but it sounds like L3 will anger some of them even more than Holdo or Rose did.

I like the actress playing her from seeing her interviewed and the idea of a robot with a custom personality that’s different from what we’ve seen so I’m fine with what I’ve seen so far.

Read through most of his posts regarding the screening and they are not too outlandish and fit with what we know already (unless I have missed something). Can't see how this 'Crime Lord from the past' could fit but I'll keep an open mind for the time being.

 

The moans from those quarters are as tedious as they are predictable but the anti-SJW types should get used to the fact that times are changing.

I wouldn't waste time doubting the rumour on the cameo BTW.

Only people who die in this movie are Val, Jon Favreau's character, and Vos according to the guy on reddit who's seen it. Qi'ra and Han team up to take down Vos, then Han wants to run off and start a life together with Qi'ra but Qi'ra declines and takes over Vos' former position as crime boss. Maybe setting up a future villain for a sequel?

I totally expected Beckett, Qi'ra and L3 to all be toast so I'm actually really surprised at this.

 

Definitely feels more like they’re setting up Han to be like Indy or Bond with a new love interest each Solo movie from that if there’s going to be more movies and it sounds like there will be.

EDIT: Also props to eagle-eyed @unicorn for being the first to see these leaks (that I know of).

 

Even if it's not true we already know that. Season 3 of Rebels takes place in 2 BBY, and based on some comments from Bob Iger, Solo will start in 11 BBY and end in 5 BBY.

As the role is just being voiced (by the legendary Linda Hunt, no less) I’m going to guess that it’s the huge White Worm from the featurette. The Head Mother. The Queen.

Well unless we have missed something that's probably it. Lady Proxima is also 'played' by Dave Chapman the BB-8 operator and puppeteer. I wonder if the good lady is responsible for the scars on Vos' face? It seems that Han will be forced to kneel in front of her, maybe Vos did the same once?

 

So there's no doubt in my mind now that Rogue One, Solo and Kenobi are supposed to be a trilogy of sorts. Not in the traditional sense but in the sense that they're interconnected like Marvel films (which is funny because our big team up movie has been out for over forty years). We get a mention of Kenobi in RO, we get a glimpse of the mysterious villain in Solo and it's all paid off in Kenobi. I would even bet Kenobi could end with him looking to the heavens and seeing Leia's ship being attacked by the Star Destroyer (sort of like Luke in the ANH deleted scene.)

 

That depends whether they have sequels in mind, since if you end it on a direct tie into New Hope then there is no where else to go.

I'm just curious how they pay off the Maul/Kenobi thing in a satisfying manner without overriding Rebels? Unless they genuinely expect audience members to go, "OH, I get it, now I have to go watch ten cumulative seasons of two different animated series to understand what this means."

 

I think my favourite not majorly consequential detail so far is that

I think we'll be getting a dark times series of movies, of which those three and further spin-offs or sequels will be part of.
