Saga Who has the best voice/accent/language in Star Wars?

I love most of the Queen's dialect in TPM.

"Senator Palpatine!"

"WE'LL SEE."

"I will not condone a course of action that will lead us to war..."

"Gungans get pasted too, eh?" "I hope not..."

It's impossible for me not to love Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee's voices.

McDiarmid... JEJ... Oz... Daniels...

Honestly the entire Star Wars saga is filled to the brim with incredible, distinct voices and that's one of the things that makes it so special -- it really is a fundamental aspect of the characters.

 

Personally I like Jar-Jar and the gungans.

 

I love Vanessa Marshall's work on Hera Syndulla/

 

For some reason, I love Moff Jerjerrod's "It's an older code, sir, but it checks out..." Ezra's voice is also one of my favorites, as well as Ahsoka

 

Ian McDiarmid's voice is almost always just so silky smooth. Christopher Lee's also has his usual commanding voice.

 

Subulba hands down.

 

The Pykes.
Lom's metallic voice makes me feel high. Pure perfection.
And I was so happy to hear Pyke language in Solo. Dee Tails was absolutely fantastic.

I quite enjoy Palpatine's voice-appropriately creepy for a Sith emperor.

But my favorite voice/accent is Rey.

 

I love Rey's accent too! I like Daisy Ridley's better tho. Which do you prefer?

 

I haven't listened to Daisy Ridley enough to notice a difference...That said, I was thinking of her accent in the films.

 

They sound pretty similar to me, although Daisy's is a little stronger, and uses, like "British" words. That said, no offense to British people what so ever. I love you all.

 

Movies - Qui Gon, Obi Wan, or Palpatine. Although I do love Leia's too when she remarks to Tarkin.

TV - Aayla Secura, just love the way she talks.

Best droid - Got to be R2D2 - honestly his beeps are hilarious. Even more so when you look at the subtitles people added on for him in some edits.

 

I like the accents of Alec Guinness, Ewan McGregor, Felicity JonesPeter Pushing, Daisy Ridley, and Ian McDiarmid. See a pattern?

I like Guinness's the best among men, and Jones's the best among women.

 

My all-time favorite is (probably) Ewan McGregor - although it's much stronger and more Scottish in real life

 

I've always thought he was using his fake british accent (with some slip ups into his natural Scottish accent) for the films, because alec guinness played the character as british.

Love Dooku and Tarkin's voices, they sound so calm and collected but exude fear and menace at the same time!

Must admit I have a soft spot for Nien Nunb's chuckles as well!

 

IMO So does Thrawn in Rebels

 

Alex Guinness as Obi-Wan. Such a smooth and charming British accent to his voice with a real sense of wisdom.

Besides him probably Ian McDiarmid as I love how he exudes both a friendly charm and a sinister darkness to his voice.

 

Lol, "friendly charm" I know you were being serious, but the wording's pretty funny I know what you mean

............and I use waaaay too many emojis. Oh well.

 

Impressive. Most impressive.

 

James Earl Jones, Ewan McGregor, Temuera Morrison, and Hayden in Episode III.

Also like Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson and Natalie Portman's voices.

Alden and Billy Dee Williams are definitely noteworthy too.

 

One that I particularly like in ANH is how Alec Guinness starts out sounding like a friendly, eccentric old hermit when he rescues Luke, including an English country intonation. Then, when he realizes the Tuskens will be coming back, he drops the act and sounds like the fully-in-command Jedi we now know him to be. Very good choice, there.

And I like the way Carrie Fisher put on a slight British accent when Leia first talks to Tarkin. I always figured Leia, with both her words and accent, was mocking him. Then, Alderaan is threatened and that stops at once.

 

Ann Sachs as Leia from the radio dramas. She really made the spunky woman for me though the whole voice cast for the first two dramas was stellar. I think I prefer Brock peters as Vader over James Earl Jones as well just for the passion and anger he brought to the role.
