    Well, if you want one.

He didn't through him through a wall, but he did throw him hard enough that he should have left injuries, but didn't. Anyway, take it up with the film that said he didn't kill anyone in Nairobi.

That’s the point, dear sin. The filmmakers got it wrong, as they have on numerous occasions. Yet you defend them to your own detriment. Just don’t, they’re falliable.

Welcome to the Worlds of DC: DCEU rebranded.

Apparently still not 100% official in terms of a specific announcement but it's what they were branding/tagging it as.

I like it- it's less clumsy than the DCEU description, avoids confusion with the DCU streaming service and better implies a multiverse reflecting the direction they're taking the films in.

But would that be abbreviated WDC or WODC, hmm..

    Favourite paragraph of the article:
Make good movies, allowing for continuity if possible, but don't sweat it if they don't mesh perfectly, or at all. Instead of going for the formulaic Marvel model, keep surprising us with innovative movies and different tones. All in all, an intriguing proposition.

    It’s only formulaic now.

But I do like this development. Instead of boot strapping into the MCU, they’re taking a different approach.

Make good movies, yes. That’s the priority to reclaim box office credibility and excitement. I like the looks of Aquaman and Shazam.

And Marvel’s perfected their model - bringing in the FOX properties gives them another 10-15 years of greatness, at least. That is great for the genre.

    Titans trailer - yikes!

Aquaman trailer - looks fun if a tad guilty of being more of the same but underwater but Momoa was a highlight of Justice League and hopefully they let him be big and crazy at the forefront

Shazam! trailer - that looks like legit fun. now it could come crashing down awkwardly in long movie form but I'm digging the vibe. Fun superhero movies, no way!

also a few articles on the Snyder cut / the non-existence of (and Snyder still hasn't seen the final film)

I have to admit, looking at DC’s movies for the next 18 months, as excited as I am for both Aquaman and Shazam based off the strength of their respective trailers, and as excited as I am for Wonder Woman 1984 based off how much I loved the first film... I think I’m most intrigued by Joker.

Someone please tell me I’m not alone in my utter fascination with this weird ass sounding movie.

So the details about the DC streaming platform were also released at SDCC - the service is called "DC Universe." Pricing is $75/year, or $8/month - signing up before the end of this week (I think) carries three extra months.

It looks to be a combination of the streaming video content we were expecting (animated, live action everything ever made under the banner) merged with DC's version of the Marvel Unlimited service, which is something I've long been looking for - access to a continually growing amount of their comics, digitally optimized for tablets and phones. All included under that price, seems pretty good. It'll also have some sort of DC news update thing, and a shop for subscribers, but who cares about that. The video library and digital comic library is a fantastic idea, and I'll take that plunge.

    Goes live "Fall 2018."

I mean, Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker is . . . I mean, it's going to be weird, but it's not going to be just another Average Comic Book movie, that's for sure. Phoenix is one of the greatest actors alive today. There's the potential for a performance to put up there next to Nicholson and Ledger. There's also the potential for an absolutely disastrously miscalculated performance that will make Leto's look like Oscar bait. But it's not going to be forgettable or boring. Those things it will not be. I'm legit excited.

How are they wrong? How can you determine if they're wrong. You don't have the authority to say that they are.

I say that I do, and further that you don't have the authority to say that I am wrong.

    So that is settled.

The Aquaman trailer reminded me a lot of the Gungan sequences in The Phantom Menace, which mesa thinkin is a very good sign.
