Nah. I'm happy to be 51. Gotta be. No movie-style anti-aging available on this Earth!

I remember a show, and I've tried looking it up but can never explain it well enough in words to get a result.

Okay, there's like 4 dudes in different color suits. Each one has a specialty element or whatever and they get parts beamed down and attached to their suits. Like a green dude gets torpedo boots and weapons beamed down and now he's a bada**s underwater. There was a blue dude who flew as well. That's all I remember, damn spice...

Oh, gosh, I remember that. Hated it because it wasn’t a cartoon. [face_laugh]

Haha, count me in as another child of the 80s/90s! :D

I used to love DuckTales as well, but the big one was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me. The neighbor kids and I were pretty obsessed – that's all we ever did when we played together. If there is one thing to define my childhood, I think that's it. The Real Ghostbusters and Inspector Gadget were also big ones.

    This was great:

Anyone ever tried making and eating that "part of a nutritious breakfast"? That's a lot of food!

I never saw a lot of that, but I did like the fact that Troi and Riker played villains in that series. :D

You know what, that's one thing I never got into, which is surprising since I was watching everything else Disney put out on TV at that time.

Ninja Turtles also defined my childhood. We would make their weapons out of whatever we could find and fight each other all day.

Haha, yes! We did the same thing! I remember I had these metal rods (I think they were from a camping kit or something? I don't even know what they were anymore!) and I would cross them behind my back and stick them in a belt to act as swords! My other friends used garden trowels as sai, and a baseball bat for the bo. For the nunchucks, we got really creative – pencils tied together with shoe strings. [face_laugh]

We rarely fought each other, though. Even at that age, we used to build these elaborate stories, and then play them out all over the neighborhood. Every so often, we would recruit someone to be the 'bad guy', but usually it was just the 3 or 4 of us on our own adventures. We did the same thing with Power Rangers once they became popular (I used to get in trouble all the time for coming home with grass stains all over my clothes from doing the 'stunts' from the show). Fun times!

I would just build model airplanes. When I got too many, I'd stick smoke bombs and firecrackers in the old ones and * CRASH! * They'd be slagged.

My brother was into the Power Rangers. I pretty much stuck with TMNT. We had a field out behind my house and near the creek would grow these huge stalk weeds that we could turn into sais, bo staff, and katanas. Nunchucks were more difficult but we would sometimes pack socks with dirt and tie them together to make some. As for bad guys, the field had tons of "forts" all throughout and the neighborhood kids would all fight over them and the materials used to build their forts. We would war/steal/wreck each other's forts and take the materials as trophies. It got so bad that we would build Goonies style traps to thwart our enemies from entering our base. Swinging logs with nails through it, nail spike traps for bike tires/feet, and pit traps. Man, those were the days.

One of the forts in the field was based around a giant hole that everyone helped dig over several summers.

I tell you what, the dollar store toys and firecrackers would always make for one heck of a Fourth of July. Strapping rockets to toys never fails to entertain.

We would also take PVC pipe and make "rocket" launchers to fire bottle rockets and Texas Screamers at each other. Everyone was in until one would go off near your ear and you'd experience pain and ringing in the ears.
