That's what I thought too at first, but looking closely you can see that the top of his head isn't covered. He has similar wrinkles to Plo koon.

Also his ship is so stupid. I love it.

The ridges on his head are showing through the material. You can tell its not skin because Kel dor have head pipes that go up out the head, then back down down behind and then forward.

But you can see Bo Keevil's pipes are enclosed as one, like fingers in mittens.

 

It’s dumb, isn’t it? I don’t love it, but I will be OK with it if the characters comment on how dumb it looks.

 

Some people like apples some people like oranges that is what makes this world so great if everyone loved the same thing wouldn't the world be a boring place? I happen to love all 10 Star Wars films to varying degrees! and I love Star Wars the Clone Wars cartoon and the Rebels Cartoons I also love the new canon books and Comics and both new Star Wars Battlefronts IMHO It is a great time to be a star wars fan!

to me it looks like Anakin's ship in episode 3 and I think that is cool I love a mash up of OT and PT in these new movies and TV Shows basically take the best of both and combine them its a big reason I loved Rose and Finn's adventure on the casino planet in TLJ It had a PT feel to it!

So I wonder why the First Order are interested in their station?

 

Possibly recruitment, which could provide the basis for the Resistance sending a spy. Other than that, it's a refueling station; so probably logistics.

How the heck does Bo get that helmet on? I’m just trying to think of it realistically. Is it a top part that clamps to a bottom part to wrap around his tendril/horn thing? Or are the horns not actually attached at the jawline and are more of a floating appendage like a tusk and therefore the helmet would loop over a bit like a glove?

I need answers!

 

I hope we get Old Han and Chewie in the show, the setting and the time period seems right like they could stumble into the location while on a haphazard smuggling run.

 

If you're talking about the little skinny pink lines that come out of the organs on either side of Plo's head and plug into his mask, I'm pretty sure those were never actually part of a Kel Dor body. They look like breathing tubes - part of the mask. Look at the included pic of TCW Plo above, or close-ups of the live action costume; the thick part that is actually part of the head ends very abruptly and then there's almost some little "nose" plug stuck in the end that the cord is coming from. This fits with a lot of portrayals of unmasked or partially masked Kel Dor in Legends; the exact details of their faces and position of the tusks have varied, but the skinny bit is almost never an actual part of their body and it disappears when the mask is gone. (I think there was one single unmask-able toy that made the lines part of their body and also attached heavy tusks to the end of those flimsy little things, which looked weird and terrible.)

If you're talking about the thicker part of that organ that IS definitely part of the Kel Dor head, that has never been shown to connect back to their faces at the end - it just ends where the "noodle" part begins. (I'm having a hard time imagining what you're talking about, sorry if I'm misreading.)

That would work fine with Bo's mask as well, presuming they can flatten their mandible/tusk things against their face. He is just attaching thicker breathing hoses that cap the end of his unspecified-head-organs instead of plugging little skinny tubes into the opening like Plo seems to have done. Maybe Plo had a fancier model, Jedi probably had amazing health care.

I do get what you're saying but I really do think that is just his skin and it's just the shows style that makes it look really weird. Same reason Neeku looks next to nothing like an actual nikto. They probably want the characters to look more appealing/cartoon-like and fun/easy to draw for the kids.

When he's piloting his ship he's wearing an actual mask that does cover his head.

Yeah I see what you mean, in that picture it does look like skin, but his head things just look wrong if it is. Like he has them on backwards.
