ST Episode IX Title Discussion: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

Those would both be real downer titles. The whole idea behind a legacy is that it lasts long after the subject is gone.

 

Yes you are right. They do sound negative. LEGACY BEGINS. There, fixed.

Seriously though this last chapter really needs to be about passing the torch, namely to Rey. However, the title should suggest the legacy being passed while also having a double meaning that suggests that Kylo Ren is THE legacy. Kylo is the "last" Skywalker (true or not we are not sure) but Rey, regardless of WHO she is, will be the one to carry that legacy into the future. She doesn't really have to be related to do so but she will anyway.

If something comes from "the beyond" or the unknown regions, why not BEYOND THE DARK

It references the unknown regions, but also implies overcoming the dark side and saving the galaxy, which is the perfect theme for the final entry in the saga.

 

Going with the latest rumors...

Episode IX: Raiders of the Lost Tomb.

 

Remember the rumors that Luke was on an island guarding the tomb of a dead Sith Lord? Using his power to keep the dark spirit in there or something...I guess that was the reason Luke wasn't in most of the movie? I can't recall the "details." That's when people thought Ep 7 was titled THE ANCIENT FEAR.

This new Jedi tomb rumor sounds exactly the same haha. I don't buy it.
