Enough. This is extremely not the right place or right discussion for this, and both of you know better than to dredge up unrelated issues for personal swipes on a discussion about airplanes.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/symbolic-vote-house-says-mueller-report-public-145109428--politics.html

The House voted unanimously Thursday for a resolution calling for any final report in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation to be made public, a symbolic action designed to pressure Attorney General William Barr into releasing as much information as possible when the probe is concluded.

The Democratic-backed resolution, which passed 420-0, comes as Mueller is nearing an end to his investigation

    from NYT:
Unfortunately, in the case of the 737 Max, it seems that Boeing has built a plane with a fundamental aeronautical issue that it thought would be resolved by adding a new automated system. But the company convinced airlines and the F.A.A. that the planes were essentially interchangeable with earlier models of 737, and therefore pilots who were already trained in flying older 737s would not need comprehensive additional training on the new system. The F.A.A. agreed with that conclusion. This would, among other things, save money on crew training and maintenance costs. That has proved to be a terrible miscalculation.

essentially Boeing screwed pilots and their passengers by selling the plane as aerodynamically the same as older 737s. Initially, pilots were not warned or given any explanation of the new software. Maybe the FAA is complicit in this decision, and maybe it was misled, but I hope there's a thorough investigation. There are definitely going to be lots of lawsuits.

Of course Mitch McConnell will block any such vote from taking place in the Senate.

A software fix to the Boeing 737 MAX was delayed for months as discussions between regulators and Boeing dragged on—and U.S. officials said the government shutdown halted work on the fix for five weeks.

    McConnell will ignore it.

If he suffered no consequence to holding open Scalia's seat other than expanding his majority, then he certainly won't give a flying **** about a unanimous House vote on the Mueller report.
