Full Series Official Star Wars Resistance Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

That’s not this week’s episode. This week’s is “Descent.” And it’s really good.

The Desent was a step in the right direction.

 

it will keep getting better Cataclysm next week and An appearance by the Master of the knights of Ren in the finale

 

It was already going in the right direction, but it did take a huge leap forward. Resistance can show us more of the personal impact of Starkiller that they didn't have time to focus on in TFA.

 

I got to admit, the second half of Resistance is way better and its getting me now hooked. I like the build-up. The station is far more important than anyone realized and it makes sense why the First Order wants it. I can't wait for the last two episodes

 

UK starts getting the second half this Saturday on XD.

 

God, every time I see the name of the channel actually written out, I get nauseous.

 

Seeing as, based on the trailer, this season will be crossing over with the TFA/TLJ timeframe, I kinda wonder how Season 2 will be handled. I can't see LFL allowing them to show anything post TLJ before IX comes out.

 

It's going to tell a different story. Ep IX will be about Leia, Kylo Ren and the new cast. Resistance will be about the Resistance cast. They can overlap without there being any spoilers for the film if they take place far enough away from each other. In the end, It's really another way the creatives shot themselves in the foot with the planning of the ST. Having TLJ set immediately after TFA really chained up storytelling for the era before the film trilogy ends. It's definitely why Rebels was set in the OT era and another reason TCW is coming back instead of a new, original animated series being announced. They don't have a strategic plan.

 

There's the possibility that Resistance might actually be meant to set up Ep 9 in some way. Perhaps Kaz or the Dozas play into 9 somehow? Resistance could explain why Leia didn't get a response from anyone in Ep 8.

What would he be, like 90 years old at that point?

 

Actually, he was in Forces of Destiny, which takes place after TFA/TLJ, and he didn't look or seem that old. So, maybe it's like with Chewie and Maz: looks around 40ish, but is really over a century old.

 

That FOD episode took place after TLJ?

 

hes in galaxy's edge so if they go to Batuu Hondo will appear

 

Plus the longevity of aliens in Star Wars is flexible. IE the Wookies
