ST Rey & Kylo Ren in Episode IX

I am still being treated for the PTSD I suffered secondary from being verbally and emotionally assaulted and battered in the old Reylo thread.

Though Rey wants to protect her friends, the Resistance, and Leia.

I personally believe there may be Force Skyping between Kylo Ben and Rey. Unless that has been tossed out. Maybe too dangerous and Rey doesn’t want to. Though Leia might ask Rey to. After all Kylo Ben is the Supreme Leader now. Rumor is he’s living on Naboo. Rey May have found a way to talk to Kylo. Perhaps they could through through the World between World ala SW:Rebels or something like that. Thus they can converse without giving away location or info about their surroundings.

I think it would interesting way for them to spar with each expressing a viewpoint on the other

Could see Rey say: “Happy now, Supreme Leader?’

Does anyone else think Rey and Kylo will be Force Skyping in IX?

 

Or Rey is a vat baby like the Clones or an invitero created child engineered from DNA of various Force sensitives Snoke under Palpatine’s influence had access to.

And like the Clones when Order 66 is given, something in Rey is switched on is forced to obey.

Rey has to overcome her programming and Kylo helps her even as they have their last battle.

 

I sincerely hope not. It is a toe-curling concept.

 

Why? It was done in VIII and even in established in VII that Rey and Kylo could read each other’s minds.

It was something I liked about VIII. I see it as a way they can talk about what each is fighting for and why. What it’s like for him to be Supreme Leader and why Rey continues to fight against him.

Also a way for Kylo to ask Rey about Leia his Mother.

 

They’ve already alluded to more more force time talks between them in IX.

Why what? Why do I think it is toe-curling? I don't know, I just didn't like it, I cringed. The shirtless scene caused the moviegoers to laugh-out-loud in my cinema.

 

I mean I didn't like that scene either, but I believe that scene was meant to be funny.

Sidious used promises of bringing Padmé back to try and keep Vader where he wanted. Will Sidious in the form of the Oracle be making promises to Kylo Ren of how Rey can be turned to the Dark Side while deceiving him to unleash Sidious himself?

The dark side can deceive offering the quicker and easier solution to desires.

I never thought about the oracle being the Emperor spirit in disguise before. Is Palpatine the spider baby? LoL
I do think it may have been the emperor speaking to Kylo through the Vader mask in TFA - and looks like the mask is returning in TROS. Did you hear someone whispering "destroy" in the D23 trailer as we hear the Vader breathing? Creepy!

 

Ring Theory... Should be reversed happens in water instead fire and at the beginning instead of the end.

I think this is Kylo's vision, because of the unstable saber Dark Rey has and because she is wearing a duplicate of Padme's dress from ROTS. I don't know if this is a vision to tempt Kylo or help free Kylo and give him an Aha moment.

 

I’ve heard of the “ring theory” but from what I understand of it it makes some pretty big reaches and has never been acknowledged by a creator as reflecting actual creative intent.

It also doesn’t look like the kind of scene that would happen at the beginning of a movie. Midway point, possible. But considering the shots we’ve been shown already, a lot happens before that landscape becomes relevant.

 

RJ has a funny way of describing a scene he meant to be funny. He said the point (besides showing off how ripped AD is, which yes he joked about) was to force unwanted intimacy on Rey with Kylo. That’s not a funny haha concept.

Omg, the most interesting potential character development in Rey in the entire trilogy, and people are making it about Kylo. I wish I was more surprised and less rolling my eyes about that. Heaven forbid the protagonist have her own vision about falling to the dark side because she fears... falling to the dark side.

 

I doubt Kylo and Palpatine will be best friends.

 

I can’t remember how my theater reacted, other than my daughter was bored and fidgety the entire movie until Rey and Kylo battled the PGs. And there she wasn’t jazzed because she’s a Reylo, which she’s not and couldn’t care less about. She was jazzed because finally the movie had some action, something to root for. I don’t think she was even paying attention when Kylo went shirtless. Why would kids care either way about that stupid scene?

 

Let's be real. That scene was there because RJ is a Reylo.
