Well leaks don't just magically appear from nowhere. It's either coming from Lucasfilm or Bad Robot..... or some people on the set that somehow are in all the main beats of every scene so they can remember an outline of a movie. lol

I think Palps looked silly as all hell with a lightsaber. It's part of why I think Matt Smith being a younger palps would be infinitely better.


Like....i could do without the goofy faces and sounds he made.

 

Ward has been trying to play catch-up and stay relevant opposite JP’s leaks from the get go. Him talking about the Force ghosts being cut sounds like him saying Matt Smith is still in it when JP’s leaks first dropped.

JP is the new guy on the scene but things continue to line up in ways he said. He waited longer to verify details and also seems to have a better handle on the late changes.

 

Don't they basically play the entire film, while recording the score?

 

I can almost guarantee what would happen in that case:
Fans now: "OMG, these leaks suck!! This movie will be horrible!"
[Movie gets released, turns out all the leaks were from Trevorrow's script, and the actual movie is completely different]
Fans: "OMG, this movie sucks!!! They should have used Trevorrow's script! That would have been so much better!"

 

Darth Vader is obviously stronger than Kylo Ren and the Inquisitors and I've never stated otherwise so don't twist my words. ''Vader couldn't even stop lasers from moving'' Vader redirected 3 blasts from Han in ESB and he catched blasterfire and then sent it right back in Rogue One and he did that last thing while under heavy fire and while pinning someone else to the roof. Kylo is an amateur by comparision. So please tell me how the movies have justified Luke's fear of Kylo's power?

 

Remember when people were saying Palps was possessing people in this film. Is it possible that the rumor of multiple endings and them choosing the best one is a reality? How could they have so many different stories from "credible people"...lol

I don't let my bias on what SW films I like more or what characters I like more influence who I think is stronger. It's pretty clear that the next generation is meant to be stronger than the previous. They're having force vision fights for christs sakes. Luke states IN the TLJ " i've only seen this raw power once before in Ben Solo ".... If you want to ignore what they're straight up telling you that's up to you. I'm not arguing my opinions on it i'm arguing what the movie is literally saying. lol

 

Just like when TFA and R1 leaked and everyone hated the leaks and then the movie. Oh wait that didn’t happen. I guess SW fans aren’t that predictable.

Wasn’t it first reported that DO Zorii's droid, then it was that he was from Babu Frik's workshop on Kijimi, and now it's that he's from Ochie's ship?

And Jason is saying this changed due to reshoots? Seems like he just made that up to cover for his misreporting

They mostly come during the principal photography phase and later during the merchandise roll-up. The final one's are from the publishing sector. Bad Robot, being Contractors would be big-time-limited in the-need-to-know. Moreover, it is much easier to find a leaker during Post-Production then during Principle Photography, when the Plumber fixing the sink at Pinewood overhears something.

Also a final point, spoilers have a delay built-in to wait until filming production is complete. The purpose is to place time between when scenes are witnessed to when the source feels it comfortable for it to be released. Jason has spoken at length about this process for years.

 

I don't think J.J used anything from Trevorrow's script, though.

 

If they cut FG presences and partaking in the fight against Palps for real, they can cut lame disembodied voices as well. Being a silent cheering section sucks even more than not being there at all.

Why not at least allow the Skywalker family, as in father, son and daughter, a final hooray against Palps alongside Rey? That could have been an epic moment. Like a mini-portals.

But nope, it needs to be just Palpatine against Palpatine. And then some table scraps where she names herself after that family that was, at the very best, just her little cheering section and nothing more.

Ward has legit sources but he jumps the gun early on esoteric visuals he’s hearing are filmed or has confirmed as seen in post and speculates from there and puts it out early and slowly to keep the stream going.

JP waited longer but wanted to corroborate more story details between his multiple sources in order to better determine what’s real and what’s speculation.

 

It's not about bias it's about what has shown to us on screen, if you want to ignore what they're straight up showing you that's up to you. That was my point, yes they say in the movies that Kylo is so strong but they never show it. That's the problem if they wanted to sell Kylo as a credible villain they should've shown him use some of that ''raw power'' instead of people talking about it and him never backing it up

 

Aslong as smith does the faces and the sounds. Otherwise no sell.

 

Showing to me is less important than what they're actually saying but it's not like they haven't shown either. Vader didn't use 20 different force powers to prove he's strong. The story implies it. Same goes with Kylo but they show it too.

How is this not powerful? it's not just lasers? he literally stops people from moving and somehow knocks Rey out with the force.

To try and claim Kylo isn't powerful in the force and one of the most powerful is just straight up ignoring what's shown in the movies and what the story is actually telling you. You don't want him to be more powerful? Fine but i'm not gonna ignore the canon they're giving me. Luke: "I've seen this raw strength only once before, in Ben Solo. It didn't scare me enough then. It does now."

 

I have yet to see any proof that Lucas was against the Legends EU. I'd love to see some if you know of any but so far my searches on the internet have produced little more than heresay with no actual evidence. I also could be wrong but I just haven't seen anything to show me otherwise.

As for the EU itself, I highly recommend you check it out, starting with the old Thrawn trilogy. Not every book is good but IMO most of it is well worth reading.

 

Palps not using lightsabers is likely due to ROTJ Palps not using them.

And By this point he's like 100+ years old. I think he's basically full on Dark Lord now, just force/lightning.

 

Kylo loses to Rey not because of lack of power but lack of focus. He’s emotionally out of control but very powerful.

 

I saw Palp's fighting style as feral and full of hate. And the sounds, goofy faces, and jerky movements are rather frightening. It's very different than the Jedi. In the fight with Yoda, Palaptine is totally off the leash and gets to laugh it up too. I think he's faking a disadvantage against Mace. So some of that goofyness is also park of the ruse that he's weaker than he really is.

 

It definitely makes sense don't get me wrong but the end of the whole saga not ending on a lightsaber battle but instead on JUST seeing force lightning feels kinda odd. It's why i think the Dyad thing being used to turn him into a young palps WITH a lightsaber would be sick.

 

This 100% gets it. Not to mention in their first battle he was literally bleeding out due to a blast. Hard to focus when you're injured.

 

Yep. The potential for Skywalker family involvement was the one thing that still interested me at all about this movie. If that's off the table, it saves me money. Not interested in the all-Palpatine family battle.
