ST The New Definitely Not Improved Even More Horrible Than The Last Two Rumors Thread

I took a college course on subliminal seduction (albeit 20 years ago), and I have no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing there.

 

Oh man, when it comes to the MCU, you and I are likethis . I just have to specifically agree with the Nova shout out. That's the property I'm hoping they'll be successful long enough to make.

 

I enjoyed it as the foundation of things. For me all the movies, even though they varied in terms of quality, gave me things to like about for the characters. The end of phase 3 couldn`t have worked as it did without all the building blocks.

That`s where any potential of TROS falls down for me. They kicked the characters I like and now are trying to sell me on their new toys that I find vastly inferior? No thanks. And the new characters I do still like might as well just be non-existant.

I have always, always prefered the force plots and was more interested in anything to do with them but at this point that appears to be constant droning of Rey, Kylo and Palpatine coming back to be vanquished, this time for real. Palpatine used to be a good character but so were Luke, Han and Leia. And the storybeats for Kylo and Rey have dragged them down so I think ep 9 will do the same with Palps.

 

It's #1 in my book lol. We actually do exist.

 

This is insane. It was a brand new superhero to the vast majority of audiences, with no connection to the Endgame plot in it's marketing or the film itself. And it made more then Wonder Woman both worldwide and domestically, and is the 9th highest grossing Marvel movie of all time. For comparison, Far From Home, which was marketed directly on being the fall out of Endgame, only made 3 million more WW, and 36m less domestically. Oh, and it starred Spider-Man. The only solo Marvel movies to do better so far are Iron Man 3, Black Panther, Far From Home, and Civil War, which was basically an Avengers movie with Iron Man as a major supporting character. Captain Marvel is an all time success.

Because Brie Larson is a boss, who doesn't take crap.

How do the image rights for that magazine cover even work? How much is just creative art design by Empire themselves -asking for an image of Rey & Kylo from IX without any known story knowledge beyond that and making up their own photoshopped work for the cover from that?

 

The Artist Joseph Shipper works for Lucasfilm at times... did the Celebration art for 2017 i think... and TLJ posters

 

If you look closely, you can see Venom in Rey's eye.

 

I couldn't remember that word this morning! Teleportation might be a thing now? Is that the next step after astral projection? Too bad Luke couldn't teleport. Maybe he wouldn't be dead.
Edit: My bad. Teleportation is already a thing. They did it in Rebels.

 

Uh, no. You can clearly see Venom in the red cherry slushy eyes of Darth Vader.

 

The flash force fights could be another way, beyond the lightning, to better setup Rey & Kylo Ren as the grandchildren of the Emperor and Vader if those visuals end up being notable places where Anakin/Vader & Palpatine/Darth Sidious have been together at the same time in saga history. It could be JJ’s way of to visually represent the Dyad concept in an abstract way to relate back to the grandfathers and their 30 year alliance and likely their own unique force bond as master and apprentice.

 

Uhh, the "profile" on the left looks kinda like Palpatine more than Kenobi... And the "face" on the right looks like the Joker... Mark Hamill is now playing two roles in the film!

The jedi do not have kids because of attachments. the skywalkers must die because of that. it was a mistake to have kids and this needs to be fixed.

Wasn't a mistake for Palps, his descendant will get to be the patron saint of purity and overpowered Jedidom. So that message doesn't track at all. Only the villains should have kids. Right.

 

I know you’re just being sarcastic but if you learned that Yoda did have offspring earlier in his multi-century lifespan would it really bother you? Would that really be so awful to you as an eventual story development in the future?
