    Discussion of New Episodes - Rules
    (1) One of the mods will post each week's episode thread a few days before it airs on Disney+.

    (2) Discussion in the actual episode thread will be limited to that specific episode, NOT future episodes; past episodes may be referenced.

    (3) The Mandalorian episodes air on Friday* on Disney+. Anyone who shares plot details about an episode before then must use spoiler tags. After that folks will begin discussing their reviews and thoughts which will likely include spoilers. To anyone concerned about being spoiled before watching the episode it is your responsibility to avoid the thread until you have had your chance to view.

    (4) Spoilers like character deaths, appearances, and major plot details must be spoiler tagged in the new episode thread prior to the episode television air date.

    (5) Do not post any preview video clips from the individual episode in the episode threads.

    (6) Official episode commentary may be posted in this episode thread.

    (7) Do not discuss future episodes in here.

    (8) Reviews for each episode may be posted once they have aired. One of the mods will add a grading poll to that episode's discussion thread.

    *All episodes premiere on Friday except for the premiere and the penultimate episode, which air on a Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

    Yes - a whole enclave of them. Mando is working with a sect of Mandos.

    Only other speaking role is the female Mando blacksmith.

    Loved it btw! Mando surprisingly had a lot of lines and personality.

    Wow! That was so good! I need to process this a bit but they knocked it out of the ballpark with this first episode. Only mildly disappointing part was...

    IG-11 dies in the first episode. The Mandalorian kills him after IG tried to kill the baby they were sent to capture. A baby that is 50 years old btw and is the same species as Yoda! Did not expect that!

    So let's speculate. What the hell does the Imperial Remnant want with a baby Yoda? And I'm just throwing this out there: could Yoda and Yaddle be its parents? :p

    No way IG-11 is gone for good - I’m sure he has back-ups. There’s footage of him interacting with Gina Carano’s character in some of the TV spots.

    Loved all the classic alien appearances.

    Those Trandoshans definitely eavesdropped on Mando and Greef’s conversation and tailed him. Maybe they work for/with Bossk??

    Flute-playing Kubaz and bisected Quarren won my votes for best classic alien appearance.

    Really cool start. The plot moved on a lot quicker than I was expecting, but I now have no idea where it’s all going. Only disappointment was the 40-minute runtime, I was hoping for an hour. If that’s the system Lucasfilm are going for, we may only get 4 hours of Kenobi!

    As for the plot itself
    I love that it’s probably going to be force-related. So we have an imperial remnant, a scientist and the baby of a highly force-sensitive species. Could this play into Palpatine’s resurrection? and I’m guessing the Mandalorian doesn’t hand the baby over, so what does he do with it?


    I have the day off today, so will probably get a couple more viewings in this morning!
