The idea of the 2014 canon reboot was promising. No more canon tiers, a story group of the new filmmakers and Star Wars veterans would centrally plan everything.

But then, of course, Story Group either never really went over everything with a fine-toothed comb or they seem to have a vastly different idea of worldbuilding than me, because IMO we're back to pre-reboot wonkiness. Maybe we'll have to resort to canon tiers again.

Basically as far as I can tell JJ didn’t care what the story group told him and did his own thing. Apparently Rian actually listened to them.

But they were right from a certain point of view.
If one chose to ignore the EU, they had G-Canon. If not, there was C-Canon. It depends on the user, I think. Sometimes, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with agreeing to disagree about that.

 

They were right actually. George didn’t care for the EU. He had elements he liked such as Quinlan Vos but the rest he could leave it that’s why he never cared about contradictions in TCW

 

H2O is my second favorite Halloween movie. This time I want chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips.

 

That’s also why people like Karen Traviss stopped writing for Star Wars as they realized they didn’t like the fact that their work could be contradicted without a second thought by George.

 

House ...or Haahuusu... has been a longtime favorite of mine. It's a great looking film, with all the colors and editing and photo-optic effects. Great sound design, too. It's one of those, near impossible to explain to anyone who hasn't seen it. Basically: a feature-length 1970s Japanese Pepsi commercial/horror fairy tale meets The Wizard of Oz meets Scooby Doo.

Another fun example of Lucas not caring about the EU at all. He had the writers kill off Anakin Solo because he didn’t want people to confuse him with Anakin Skywalker.
