It was tough to pick ones for TLJ, since I mostly only enjoyed the 3rd act. Conversely, TROS was also tough cos there are several other elements I would've picked-force ghost Luke, flashback showing Luke and leia in Jedi training...the final scene on Tattooine almost made it on there as well.

Interesting, I guess doing TROS def made me realize the Rey-Kylo stuff works best for me, especially when Palpatine isn't really involved. JJ should have trusted their dynamic (and Finn-Rey and Finn-Poe) enough to carry the film instead of doing all that stuff with palps...

TFA:


Rey's introduction. One of the best sequences of the trilogy, and is probably the best directed sequence by JJ. Hard to think of a better character intro in the whole saga.


The Starkiller forest duel. I like both parts of the duel (Finn and Rey's part), but the fight between Finn and Kylo is just so great. Kylo is full on dark side here, punching his gut to numb it and pump himself up, taunting and toying with Finn... while Finn himself is acting incredibly brave and focused, doing anything he can to stop Kylo. Obviously it doesn't work and the moment he gets a hit in Kylo ends the fight, but it's a great end to his arc in the film, and it sets up his future with a lightsaber which we will hopefully see on film sometime.


Han reaching out to Ben. Was torn between this and Han meeting Leia on Takodana. But this scene is so well acted by both Adam and Ford, and it is such a crucial scene for the trilogy.

TLJ:


Poe leading the bombing run. I love the music, energy, and visuals. Sets up the dynamic between the inept Hux and the First Order, as well as Poe's arc as a leader. Funny (besides for the Hugs moment), action packed, and the bombing sequence is beautiful, though a bit too short for my taste. The whole sequence with Paige sacrificing herself is amazing. And the WWII-inspired visuals of the bombers is great.


Throne room fight. Seeing Kylo cut down that bastard Snoke, team up with Rey, and then try to convince her to join him is when I realized the movie may not be what I wanted, but it is surely something special.


Luke arrives to Crait. His scene with Leia is my favorite, but his showdown with Kylo and THAT reveal shortly after... it's top 5 in the saga for me, easily.

TROS:

Kylo's redemption scene with the memory of Han is the perfect parallel to the Force Awakens scene. Amazing performances, and cemented Kylo, err, Ben as my favorite character in the trilogy.

The lightsaber fake-out. The zoom in on Ben's face, nodding towards Rey, and Rey's look when she shows an empty hand to Palps is awesome.

Rey's revival. Probably the scene where most people either love it or hate it, Ben saving Rey from death at the cost of his life, and then that kiss and smile afterwards, brings a perfect close to the Skywalker family for the entire saga.

Honorable mention: Rey sliding down the Lars homestead and burying the sabers.

 

TFA:

1. Finn vs. Kylo (Finn's spine was slashed open to protect Rey and she layed down to die with him in the snow)
2. Luke's intro (Simply a powerful reveal)
3.Kylo interrogating Poe (I loved Kylo's intensity. truly villainous)

Bonus: TRAITOR!

1: Death of Paige Tico ( Damnit why couldn't she live. My favorite Tico)
2: Finn vs Phasma ( This seriously felt like some Injustice/MK gameplay)
3:Finn and Rey hug (That chemistry is undeniable)

TRoS:

1: Finn leading the battle on the Star Destroyer ( The force is strong with this one)
2: The Emperor's intro ( So dark and evil)
3: Babu Frik (Come on! it's Babu)

3.) Kylo’s intro. I’ll never forget how excited I was to see him stop the blaster bolt, and Poe’s flabbergasted look as he passes it. Also though, Rey’s introduction. It was so sweet and innocent. Complete foil.
