I am going to hook my PC up to the TV for this, I don't think my screen could take the AWESOMENESS.

This is how KOTEE should have ended.

    So, this is it...

I mean the end. We basically tied up the original storyline, Eternal Empire and even KotOR stories. I am glad that we have reached that point of the story. I was always worried that SWTOR will die in the middle of things but now we have finished up to most important piece of its narrative. If the game ended right now, I would be satisfied seeing what we have received (of course I am also very happy that the game is still going forward).

Some quick thoughts on the mission:
    • VERY HAPPY that (most probably) the last appearance of Revan is a heroic one. Teaming up with him is one of my favourite moments from the game.
    • I think that people in BioWare think that Atris from KotOR2 box art is the Exile.
    • It was nice to fight Sith once again (Servants). Scions of Zakuul did not do much and there was no fight against them. Most of them have been already killed by Servants before you arrive.
    • Vaylin had some closure. I guess that there is a chance that she took over the body of one of Satele's students but we will see.
    • Some funny dialogues with Kira/Scourge regarding ship's size.
    • Oh, that mindscape was super hard to navigate.
    • The final battle was epic but I had no idea what I should do as far as fight mechanics go.
    • I do hope that they will make this mission repeatable.
    • Shame that after the final battle we can only talk to Satele and Lana and have no comments from Kira/Scourge/Arcann/Senya etc.
    • There is Aryn Leneer cameo in the end.

My guess is that we would have receive that if they went with original plan of three "Knights of..." expansions.

Just when you stopped playing and had no time to get back to it for months they get this epic again? YIKES...

Okay folks, I need my spoiler fixes so please gimme anything you got! Drown me!

Any links to places with transcripts, youtube vids of playthroughs? I want to archive TOR somehow, especially this latest bit. But all I can find is the first old missions or no complete/good/uncommented vids. Please help!

At least all the relevant major missions, Revan stuff and main story bits need to be somehow archiveable or vieweable for non-gamers. One day I will return to playing it if it is still alive then, but I it is killing me that I have neither the time nor system to do so right now.

Anyone try the new flashpoint yet? I've read there are some bugs preventing completion.

This update was amazing! A really good and proper ending for the Emperor and characters tied to him. The Mando's flashpoint story was good too and seems to be hinting at
Mandos having a bigger role in the future. The ending of the Mando flashpoint seems to hint Heta Kol may be related to Torian in some way. Though I'm suspecting she may be related to Jekiah and Rass Ordo. Maybe she's their sister that "died".

Yeah too bad most of the "knights of..." was boring and pointless.

    Me in the final fight

I think they just wanted to give a unique look.
Yeah the Bug is it makes all the bosses power level at master mode, in the mando flash point.

So, I just finished Echoes of Oblivion on my Smuggler (Weird, I know) My LS Sith Warrior is up next, so we'll see how different the story goes, but for now...

I second all of your thoughts. I do wonder if they were showing how Meetra was a ghost, which is why they went with all white for her. Not that I'm complaining, she seems normal again. And Kira is just a bad influence on Scourge, and I think they took the best parts of Avengers Endgame, and TRoS, and that's what they gave us for the ending.

It was everything I had hoped for, and more! Even with knowing what was posted here, and on Jedipedia, I knew some of the story beats, and what to expect, but it was fantastic. The design, the story, the music, all of it. And hearing both Daren De Paul and Doug Bradley together... I could fanboy out. I love both their takes on the Emperor, Still wondering who voiced Tenebrae.

What I loved the most was that I could be extra sarcastic to Valkoritebrae (Bit of a tongue twister compared to Valkorite), from "Am I supposed to think you're so olf that shirts hadn't been invented?" to Tenebrae calling me an "insignificant vagabond", and of course I chose the sarcastic reply of "If it makes you feel any better, I never thought I'd be the one to kill you, either".

I do wonder what is going to happen to Vaylin, since it seems that she might have survived. I'm still trying to understand why people want Vaylin as a romanceable companion, but I suppose no one is beyond redemption. Same with the Aryn Leneer and Malgus story, It seems like they are setting up that Malgus needs the Jedi's help to break whatever brainwashing Acina has (Or had if she bit the dust on Iokath).

And the fact there were bits from not only the base game, but nearly every expansion from Shadow of Revan to Onslaught was great. Just missing something from Rise of the Hutt Cartel, but I mentioned to Charles Boyd on Twitter that one of Satele's students could be from Makeb, maybe even a member of the Avesta family. And it would have been interesting to see some surviving Revanites fighting with us.

I can't wait to hear the music for this and the Mando FP when it's released this weekend; Splinter Of The Minds Eye, and The Spirit Of Vengeance. I do love the title for the Echoes of Oblivion's music, and it's a nice nod to the first EU novel.

Also, your Knight looks a lot like my smuggler (Same face, beard, and hair), and it's kinda freaking me out! :p

As for Meetra, she looks the same as in Taral V/Maelstrom Prison. They have only changed her robes. IMHO it is still quite odd that she still looks different compared to her appearance in Revan novel.

I am also very happy that finally after nine years we know how Tenebrae looked like in his Sith Pureblood form. It also seems that he was the most powerful in his original body.

Yeah, that red haired Satele student had in files name satele_student_vaylin (or something similiar) so who knows she might have took her body. There is a scene where Vaylin focuses on her and in the end the same student is giving Aryn Leneer a side glance. Still, it is too early to be sure.

Yes, most likely we will have Dantooine/Malgus mission next and very likely we will return to the Jedi Enclave there (we might end up wiping out his memories like the Jedi did with Revan).

I really liked playing it as a Jedi Knight, working with Kiria, Scourge and REVAN against my main foe since the base game. Even referencing the end of Chapter 2. Really good stuff.

Also when Setele says "No". I was waiting for her to do that, with the 3 running their (his?) mouth and she just said "you played yourself".

    And then the fights.

I found the first the hardest, as I couldn't attack the others just main Valky. Second and third fights were a lot of fun.

As the darkness takes you, you are nothing. (malak quote from KOTOR).

I do think Vaylin took her body, since it made a point of showing the red head on the ground. I wonder what she will do? As a JK I did flirt with her, she blew me off.

Honestly I was disappointed, with Arcan and Seyna. I saved them both and they do nothing more to help me than when I kill them.

Interesting that Darth Marr is the heal support.

I think Malgus wants his programming taken out, also interesting that only the jedi shows up, hopefully 'z-man' is dead! Though I expect he is just a hostage.

How many of you interpret this expansion as being literal or as being comparable to the Sidious/Yoda vision at the end of TCW season 6, the various dream/vision sequences in Jedi: Fallen Order and Rebels, and the cave scene on Dagobah?

Most of the characters here are dead, aren't they?

I found it funny that one of the dialogue options when fighting Tenebre is "I'm one with the Force, and the Force is with me." I liked how they snuck that little canon reference in the game (unless it was a Legends thing first).

Without posting any spoilers - Echoes of Oblivion was GOOD. Seems to actually be one of the most positivelly recieved story additions to the game ever by a huge majority of different players. It definitely brought back some faith in the writers' abilities for me, especially when it comes to recieving feedback (but without turning it into misguided fanservice).

Hope next year will continue this level of effort and thought put into the story.

And Tenebrae's design & voice are so good I wish this was always his iconic form in all media and apperances, not just at the very end

I was surprised by the detail they went into, they got his eyes like how it was described in the Revan novel.

They also added some gold highlights to Vitiates costume.

    About Vaylin...
Here is the message from Satele regarding Syl who turned out to be alive after the mind battle against Tenebrae.

So, it is getting more and more likely that Vaylin has taken over Syl's body.

Here is as short video showcasing hints regarding this theory:

    Some voice acting info:
    • Tenebrae is voiced by Anthony Skordi.
    • Jeff Bennett has returned to voice Revan. He voiced him in the original flashpoints (in Shadow of Revan he was voiced by Spencer Garrett).

I knew Tenebrae sounded familiar! That is a pretty good get, I hope he does some more work for SWTOR! And Jeff Bennett really did a good "Post SoR" Revan, glad to hear him again! I personally had no problem with Spencer Garrett as Revan, but if this was Revan's last time in TOR, having his original VA back is only right.

Has anyone see the title of the music during the Mind fight?

    Splinter of the Minds Eye.

    Love these shout outs.

Me too, especially as this model won't have much use (which often in Bioware's case means little effort/stock resources) but I'm glad they did, the character really deserved it. On the other hand, the visual difference between some of the newest NPC models and Player Characters is getting so comical at this point I hope they plan on updating the textures for 10th anniversary, high time.

But surprised how obvious they were with VAYLIN IN NEW BODY signals though, guess they didn't want it spoiled later on which would definitely happen due to datamining.
