So, in place of dead Grogu we have dark Grogu? Yeah, can't see them going that route, still reckon they'll dub Grogu as not technically being a Jedi and just sidestep it.

Well, one big question -- and I guess Dr. Pershing can probably answer this -- is to what extent Gideon was being honest about having gotten all he needs from Grogu. It seems to me that there are a few different ways to read that. There's no reason, other than the Gideon's very real penchant for monologuing, for him to have been truthful there, since he's basically expecting his Darktroopers to come back and kill everyone and still end up in possession of Grogu. So if he was lying about that, there'll still be a target on the little green guy; whether or not anyone would risk facing Luke to do anything about it is another question. But it's probably the most direct line to bringing Grogu back in to the narrative.

 

No need to be snippy, I was asking how Grogu surviving broke Canon, you were the one making the assertion how am I meant to know what material you do or don't know?

Did the students who left with Ben go dark? I have no idea.

Well now we know why Luke was the way he was in the TLJ, if I had lost Baby Yoda I would be too.

 

Pretty sure this one will happen. But only by about a year.

Also this guy apparently made the Lucasfilm logo.

 

Now I'm even more confused. Why nor announce last week then and just leave details vague?

 

Stock prices probably, save it for its own announcement.

I guess I mean why didn't they say "We have 12 series in development and we can give you the details on ten of those today" sort of thing.

 

They did they said they had 10 series in development and if you count they only announced 9.

 

Mando, Ahsoka, Rangers, Lando, Kenobi, Bad Batch, Visions, Droid Story, Taika film, Jenkins film is 10 isn't it?

Like it's fine, not worth splitting hairs over, but seems to have caused a lot of confusion which could have been avoided.

They don't. Luke was mistaken in TLJ. Three students leave the Jedi Academy shortly after Ben does, but they leave in pursuit of him, not with him. Ben kills two of the Jedi apprentices that pursue him, and the Master of the Knights of Ren kills the third. None of them turn to the Dark Side.

Do I? Based on what? I'm making a flippant comment about the recent argument that just overtook this thread.

Just the impression I get, not a big deal. I think we should be celebrating that Disney have given us something that is as about as close to universally enjoyed as SW can be rather than reliving the controversy of the last few films.

 

Which was my point; this talk of Mando reuniting the fans doesn't really seem to be playing out if the continuing arguments here and plenty of other places online are anything to go by. Just an observation; I like the show fine, and I also have some issues with the show. I'm not trying to get anyone to hate it, nor do I think I could.

 

So what species were the pirates from Chapter 15, again? I kept wondering that.

I can't say I'm worried about Grogu at all.

Frankly, at this point I half expect Ahsoka and/or Ezra to use a World Between Worlds TARDIS to save every single one of Luke's students from that temple explosion and then plop them down post-TROS.

 

They don't have a name yet. Wookieepedia has them as "Vorg Alsum's species" because Vorg Alsum (one of the mugshots from Chapter 14) is the only named one of them.

yeah... this is why it was great. it's classic bantam Luke. Same costume because he hasn't done laundry and feels bad making his students or even one of the droids do it and he's always got the old standby sitting around. like I said he probably slept in it, for several nights going. No charm because he's dead inside. Rote dialog because he's running on autopilot, because he's dead inside. The only time he ever really feels alive is when he's hanging with his niece and nephews but he doesn't really like doing that very much because the love him so purely, which makes him a little uncomfortable, and also they trigger the tickle at the back of his brain that starts up the "youaregoingtodiealoneyouaregoingtodiealone". This is the Luke who responds to news that a bunch of Sith cultists made off with the Jedi Archives with "troubling." This is the Luke that spends all his time standing at the top of the Great Pyramid staring into the distance. This is the Luke who trains like two classes of Jedi and then is like, you know... if you guys could like, train each other, uh... that'd... that'd be great.... This is the Luke that finally decided to go live in a bubble castle because nobody would leave him alone. This is the Luke whose response to his student going dark is "guess I'll let him kill me ". This is the Luke that goes BASE jumping without a parachute just so he can feel alive. He's the best
