I know it's not a April Fools joke but I knew one day Zahn would have a Thrawn book called "Lesser Evil"

That’s cool have yet to read chaos rising, but looking forward to it.

I feel like it’s best to be a bit sceptical as well and expect at least one delay as dose seem to be the norm nowadays.

Still faster than expected based on the last two. Plus I don't think they'd put out a release date publically without having some confidence in making it.

I have to say, I love the cover art for this trilogy.

I don't like this title trend lately - Greater Good, Lesser Evil, Victory's Price, Shadow Fall... the same person obviously came up with all four of those and they're all equally dull. Chaos Rising is a weird title too but it's one of those things that's so lame it's cool.

What amps up all four is the aesthetic design of the cover art, not the titles themselves.

Also the content within! I'm a big fan of both Zahn and Freed's writing.

Even as someone who likes the titles, I agree with you.
They say not to judge a book by it's cover but so much goes into presentation it's crazy.

Ah, if we're going wider than the covers, certainly. I'm now back up to getting back to Alphabet Squadron after two days out.
I don't find them as bad as D does but it's the imagery that comes to mind far more strongly for me.

Just dropping in to say hello briefly.

Actually 3 different people are responsible for those 4 titles. And 4 people for 5 titles if you count Chaos Rising.

Funny, I was thinking as I was writing that post "now that DarthInternous doesn't post here anymore I don't have to worry about offending him!" Ooops.

Two Thrawn books in ONE YEAR?

What universe have I fallen into.

The second one isn’t even our yet?! This is some beautiful marketing momentum.

Titles work for me, because they hint at some kind of moral challenge Thrawn will have to deal with.

Though, whether the books themselves actually go into Thrawn having and kind of crisis of morality is a whole other thing.

That, or with many events being canceled, Zahn may be like “might as well write...”
And publishers are also bot going anywhere so they can be like “feed us.” :p

Also, Sinny needs to be fed.

As to DI, he's a class act who, even if you do hack him off - I'm certain we've butted heads a couple of times - will be firm and polite about it, willing to engage if time permits and those times can be very educational if you're inclined to see it as such.

I do wonder, if this book will tie with his supposed exile from the chiss and him being stranded until the empire shows up. In first book they were still in the clone wars and second book might be during end of it and beginning of the empire, and 3rd book might be during the first few years of the empire, i mean when was it he joined them 5-8 years after the clone wars, the comic seems to still have clone armor.

I’d be surprised if it didn’t end with him being sent into exile. More than surprised. Baffled. Astounded. Flabbergasted.

I am expecting it to end with his exile, but if it doesn't... there's always another trilogy!

Eh it's not exactly something new. Sci fi/Space opera have been using this boring naming convention forever. Look at SW Legends, particularly NJO and later series. Titles were little more than irrelevant "epic" sounding words.
Usually this is a thing they do with movies. Announce a sequel right before it comes out to convince people it must be good (or in a certain case announce a trilogy right before TLJ came out).
Pretty sure this book will happen in any case, it's probably already more or less written.

With titles like “The Greater Good” and “The Lesser Evil” these books better have damn good villains.
