The Mandalorian The Mandalorian Season 3 Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

The timing might relate to other D+ releases more than the filming schedule. I’m sure they’re going to try and string things out to make sure they have a constant flow of material to keep subscribers.

If they really start filming in September, there is little reason to assume that they won't make it for a 2022 release. The first two seasons started filming in October, for a release in November / right at the end of October respectively. The third season would be on a virtually identical schedule.

I guess that would hint at something like Andor in spring, Kenobi in summer, The Mandalorian in autumn, if the current status of production of the shows is any indication.

 

So 2022 may have:
BoBF - ~2-6 weeks (starts Dec '21, 6-8 episodes)
Andor - ~12 weeks
Kenobi - ~6 weeks
The Mandalorian S3 - ~8 weeks
The Bad Batch S2 - ~16 weeks

That's about 44-48 weeks out of 52 with new content, making a lot of assumptions and guesses along the way.

 

Disney isn’t exactly short on resources and look at how seamless how Marvel is running with all of their shows. They’re basically the blueprint on how to do things and there’s no reason the Mouse can’t expect Lucasfilm to pick things up and carry their weight, as well.

 

Thoughts?

 

Maybe 8 or however many weeks of Book of Boba before a May the 4th premier for Mando S3.

I agree, but I wonder how they will transition from whatever is being plot in the Mando series (& others) and the ST. Or maybe we learn that there was a new/hidden "Jedi-like" order running in parallel during the ST, not run by Luke or traditional Jedi... an order of Force users that was still getting stronger and did not want to reveal itself by then? Maybe an order run by Grogu?

 

I don't think Grogu is gonna be part of any jedi order. i think he is gonna join the Mandalorians. He and Din won't be apart for too long.

Bo-Katan back now that season 3 of mandalorian is begun production.

 

Apparently Katee Sackoff is filming a movie in canada. so its not to do with The Mandalorian.

 

I honestly don't expect season 3 until 2023. sad but true.

 

They starting production now, I see 2022, ahsoka is 2023.

 

Suspect in the end that Grogu will train with Luke, but Din somehow holds the throne for Grogu to eventually take over.

Could very well be that. Other source said that they won't start production on Mando 3 until the end of the year.

 

Which is strange, because we had been told season 3 of TM would air not long after TBOBF finished.

 

I suspect mandaorian could come out soon after Kenobi and Andor.

Oh yeah, he's still alive. Kind of thought his character was over but I guess we could get flashbacks or he could be freed.
