Full Series The Kaminoans Krazy Kloning Konundrum (spoilers)

I've said it before and I'll say it again, one of my biggest peeves with this season was that instead of giving Taun We a greater role they introduced a carbon copy with Tauna Se and on top of that unceremoniously kill the former off-screen with their "new ultimate bounty hunter". It felt like such a waste of the character.

Loved the glimpses we got at the abandoned Kaminoan facility on another planet, as well as the beautifully handled distruction of Tipoca City in the final two episodes. Can you believe it this location was first introduced to us 19 years ago (technically 20 in November counting the two shots in AOTC' first Teaser Trailer). I do hope all those decomissioned Clones will end up returning there to build an artificial island where Tipoca City used to be. As we saw with Rex, Wolffe and Gregor, Clones are skilled fishermen.

 

What was Taun We's role though, really? Both she and Lama Su very quickly became redundant as characters, even more so now. It's not as if she and Boba were especially close either, they were aware of each other's existence but that's it.

Nala Se fills a different role, a more relevant one, being a cloning scientist. The only thing she and Taun We have in common is their species.

 

Kamino, so good they erased it twice.

 

The PAlpatine and Snokes are a go.

 

There is a lot of potential for an Imperial Senate scene in S2 hearing them trying to justify the destruction on Kamino and I'm guessing the Kaminoan Senator Halle Burtoni lost or loses her seat.

What do you all think happened to Lama Su? I'm hoping he had some sort of emergency evacuation contingency, othwerwise it'd be very unsatisfying if he has been killed off screen like that.

 

Same with Taun wee Lama Su killed of screen.

Again it wasn’t just the facility every city and facility on the planet was destroyed

 

It's hidden far away nad like the jedi and clones, kamino will be forgotten soon away.

 

And Jedha was destroyed by a battle station the size of a small moon and they were able to handwave it away by saying it was a mining disaster.

 

Kamino is literally outside of the galaxy IIRC, it would be easy for the Empire to cover up a liquidation of the planet. The Empire severs their contract and the Kaminoans abandon their seat in Imperial Congress in retaliation. Nobody in the galaxy hears from them again due to their isolated location.

 

It would be great if The Bad Batch had some sort of radio broadcast either on the ship or Cid's bar listening to the senate hearing for the destruction of Kamino or a new report about it and Halle Burtoni's fate. Maybe they will be hired to attempt to rescue the Kaminoan Senator.

 

nah she dead, i doubt we see mutch of any senator with the republic in this show, mutch less a kaminoan. I think the only one we see is Nala Sa.

 

I'm not going to count her out completely. Lama Su could have told Burtoni to bail around the time he told Nala Se to get ready to leave. So she got the drop on the Empire and is hiding somewhere on Coruscant.

 

I mean Rampart found out about Nala Sa leaving, fast so the moment the senator tried to leave she was probarly shoot in back.

 

Could still happen. She could have escaped into the depths of Coruscant where it'll take a while to find her. I can only imagine the brain aneurysm Hunter would if a mission to Coruscant rolled in.

 

Simply, Taun We could have been the cloning scientist instead. She had enough of a speaking role in AOTC she seemed like Lama Su's second in command on screen. Expanding the role would have been the logical way to go, IMO.

It might be the last we've seen of him (the scene was very well handled), but a contingency plan does sound like a neat idea. Think Mola Ram suddenly disappearing through a trap door, laughing villainously.

 

I mean she looked pretty old for a kaminoan, i dbout she could get pretty far.

 

I just realized did we only have 4 Kaminoans with names.

 

Thank goodness this situation is krazy, otherwise this thread title would be quite awkward.

 

Nala Se has been around for awhile. She's been part of Star Wars since TCW season 1 and was given an expanded role in season 6 which established her as one of the chief architects of the cloning project. She started off the new series more developed and with a more relevant role than Taun We the administrative aide did, so it makes sense to continue using her.

 

There was a Kaminoan in the Poe Dameron comic.

 

I wonder if any of the medical personnel Nala Se was gathering made it off-world with her as "useful scientists". And LOL in a sick way, am I the only one who wondered if they had a weather dominator since the weather cleared as soon as their cities were destroyed?
