But Anakin is a Jedi. He should have control over his emotions and strive to get rid of all attachments. Anakin reacted as a human being, but not as a Jedi should.

But Anakin was not a model Jedi. He struggled with his feelings and attachments. Feelings of inadequacy when he couldn't help or save friends. Not being given a chance to be part of a secret mission even if it didn't need him. Particularly when that secret mission involved being happy to use those things he struggled with in a brutal way by Obi-Wan faking his death. That plan may not have worked if Anakin had subdued reaction to his brother and mentor dying. Actually if the council had not used Anakin then Palpatines's grand plan in The Deception arc would not have worked so well. I believe the entire kidnapping scheme was one big Xanatos gambit to put Anakin and Dooku against each other to observe them up close to see how ready his future apprentice was. Anakin being flawed is the point. Being very human way was key to his story.

So I just found out a really old mystery got solved last year. There were a couple episodes where Jar Jar was voiced by someone named BJ Hughes, and it became clear that that was a pseudonym for some VA, but when questioned about it Filoni was evasive, and apparently there were no records of who really did the voice.

But lo, Ahmed Best himself randomly revealed last year that it was none other than Phil LaMarr who filled in for him, and Phil confirmed it a couple of months later. Now I've rewatched some of those episodes and it's pretty easy to tell it's LaMarr now that I know what to look for.

Well, there goes credit for The Clone Wars for some actual B.J. Hughes.

I love The Clone Wars title intro. I miss it dearly. When I rewatched The Bad Batch arc recently I rewound it a few times on each episode. It's like I have a problem, lol. That first note just gets me pumped.

    Just finished it all there.
Wow I was not expecting the overlap there, the last few episodes were really good.
More about Ashoka then anyone, really liked that last scene with Vader and Ashoka's saber ...
    But what happened Maul ?

Yes. But Rebels is the more important one of the two when it comes to Maul.

I don't recall ever seeing a model Jedi on screen during the entire franchise's timeline.

I say a model jedi is Luke, Qui gon and Ahsoka. Jedi who follow the will of the force.

I think the Jedi all follow the will of the force as best they can and everyone we have met is flawed in some way. And sometimes the model isn't the same thing as perfect. My vote for greatest is not the strongest force user ever or the greatest swordsman but for the hero Kanan Jarrus. From the establishing character moment in "Spark of the Rebellion" where he reveals himself to his sacrifice Kanan is a hero. Instead of being chained down to dogma or falling to his self doubts Kanan just tried to carry the load, be a great man, mentor, and help people when he could along the way.

I repeat . . . I've never seen a "model Jedi" in a movie or a television series in my life. I will go even further and state that I believe no such character has ever existed. And any attempt to be a "model Jedi" is an act of futility, in my personal experience. It's just strikes me as ridiculous to me that anyone would try to be "model" or perfect.

Hello friends. I couldn't find a thread for this so I'll ask here. I was reading the Wikipedia article on this show and under DVD/Blue ray Releases it lists season 7 as coming out on November 11. If true, great. I'm still disapointed that The Mandolorian hasn't been released yet. Only thing is, when I look up Google for more info, there is none. Does anybody here know if this is true or not?

Probably not true. I saw something similar a while ago, but that was on some sort of fan wiki, not a reliable source. I don't think anything that's on Disney+ will get a physical media release any time soon, unfortunately.

Perhaps Disney Studios wants the show's fans to remain subscribed to Disney Plus in order for the to re-watch Seasons One and Two. If "The Mandalorian" was released on DVD in any form, why bother remaining subscribed to Disney Plus?

Speaking only for myself, I don't use the streaming services. I'd rather have the disks. That way I can watch them whenever I like and don't have to worry about the internet going down for whatever reason.

I have an idea now that Dave didn't wish to produce Dark Disciple in animation because he didn't favor the way they resolved Ventress storyline. Maybe that story was what George Lucas wanted for the character and so Filoni went along with it for a time but didn't feel like producing the episodes when it was up to him. That would line up with this revelation from Friends of the Force podcast interview with Resistance head writer:

Some folks are saying that potential path would have retconned Dark Disciple...
I think you could have her come back to life spiritually or in some other form after going into that mystical water at the end of the novel.

Maybe they would work it out where it really was Ventress who gave Ezra the warning in the Sith Temple during the "Twilight of the Apprentice" episode of Rebels. Her VA already took care of the job, so it's just a formality of confirmation.
