Yeah. I dimly remember being a little kid watching it on a Black and White TV. Before I die I want to see someone land on Mars. The Moon Landing has been pushed to 2025. I sincerely hope I live a little longer than that. And I want to live to see a Buckaroo Banzai sequel.
That's amazing that you got to see that. My parents, knowing I'm such a space exploration nerd, always taunt me with the fact that they were kids old enough to remember Apollo 11 (they were 12 and 11 then).
My family saw the first moon landing in Ft Lauderdale Airport on a TV with really crappy b&w reception. (We were waiting for our flight back to CT after being on vacation). Not the way I'd have chosen as an adult!
