See that was one of my favorite parts of the episode. I don’t really care why he thought it was in there (probably just assumed whoever took was quickly eaten). I loved getting a closer look at the Sarlacc and the return of the beak! Sarlacc vs Slave I was amazing!

Han is a General of the now New Republic and a family man at this point. He is no muscle. He has better things to do. Him appearing in this series would make absolutely no sense.

How much treasure do we have? …. Treasure can buy muscle if you know where to look! - Fennec Shand.

this was a good episode. We learned the full relationship of Fennec and Fett which is a continuation that started in the Mandalorian. It appears the crew is starting to come together with what appears the addition of the Black Krrsantan. The “crew” if the score is any indication will definitely include Din Djarin and if he’s their a possibly of other bounty hunters or (possibly Mandalorian friends)

The Pyke connection may draw in a certain Mandalore heir

    The Table right over the Rancors pit was a nice touch and an easy way to keep the others in line;

Speaking of that, his codpiece and his left knee pad are supposed to be in the Sarlacc.

This “felt” more like Star Wars. The mod parlor reminded me more of Coruscant but at least it didn’t feel quite as out of place.

We finally get more to Fennec which is both good and bad. Bad because it took so long and Ming-Na Wen is just an amazing actress who clearly relishes this role. Good because what we did get really helps to flesh out why she is loyal to Boba and what her interests are.

The dialogue does still come across a bit clunky at times. Referring to his ship as “my firespray gunship” when he doesn’t call his armor “my beskar armor” every time does make it stand out more than if he just said “my ship” That said, that was probably the only clunky line.

And with his bacta sessions ended, so end the flashbacks I guess. Which is good. We need to move the plot forward and there are only two episodes left to do that. And to be honest, Boba hasn’t really done much in the present. Certainly feels like a Season 2 is a given at this point.

The theme at the end certainly gives some nice foreshadowing.

I enjoyed this more than last week for sure.

I actually didn’t know any of what your referring to, until the post was just above my post unedited. (Now spoiler tagged) pretty disappointed honestly.

I guess now talking about current episodes in their discussion thread is off limits to me because others ruin things

Well it was certainly a big improvement. Fwip and Slave one made it, great to see the ship and close up.

Sarlacc getting a seismic was about time.

BK was awesome. Down on his luck getting drunk then sod it I'm having a fight! Droids where great and obliterating the gang was excellent

Bad - not a helmet on scene, and maybe to much flashback!

    What an episode and just so much to love. Without any particular order;

The "mod" shop. Another great example of world-building that is something different, not seen before in Star Wars and is futuristic. Although I was not a fan of the chase scene last week and didn't really warm to the "riders", they have played a part in the story-telling this week where we see the place that gave the humans their "droid modifications". This leads directly into how Fennec got her modifications to save her life. I like the Mod Doctor with all of his interchangeable parts and every time I see these random-like locations, it makes the Galaxy feel bigger.

How Boba gets Slave 1 back. Loved this entire infiltration process and Fennec was awesome - I loved all of her little gadgets (floating spy remote, that metal cutter, etc). But my favourite parts of Boba getting Slave 1 back was ruthless Boba taking apart the Nikto Bike Riders and the hovering over the Sarlacc and dropping the seismic charger. Damn awesome stuff!!!!

Black Krrsantan in Garsa's Mos Espa club was brilliant. The fight scenes were good and the results from a powerful Wookie were expected once he made up his mind "to go". But for me, what stole the show was the interaction between Black Krrsantan and Garsa Fwip. To try and calm the Wookie down, Garsa pulls out all of the stops in the charm factor. "oh those Gladiator pits were bad....oh those terrible things they did to you....you're a big strong fella....you've built up quite the debt here, but I will waive it if you put down the Trandoshan....you are big and strong, you don't want to do this" - and so on. And with every word and Garsa gently touching his arm, you can see the Wookie calming down to the point where Garsa believes she has him; because it has obviously worked on so many before. The Wookie then proceeds to rip off the Trandoshan's arms and pay his debt. Classic stuff!!

And speaking of Garsa Fwip, Beals plays this character brilliantly. I enjoy this character every time I see her.

The interaction between Boba and Fennec at the campfire is long over-due and something I have been desperate to see. And for me, what was discussed has added much more to the Fennec character and I really loved the scene. Although there were no specifics, we learn that Fennec pretty much has the same experiences as Boba when doing jobs for really crappy clients. Her and Boba bond over these similarities and Boba wins her over through what he is proposing; where Boba is tired of working Bounty Hunter jobs for idiot clients and wants to be able to call his own shots. This scene for me is so important in the context of the story and the direction that Boba Fett has decided to go in. He mentions the effect that the Sandpeople had on him and he is able to use this to show Fennec a different way of being. Much, much needed depth in the characterisations of Boba and Fennec and the relationship between the two. I want more of this sort of thing and I really loved this part so much.

All of these new droids; just brilliant. I love them so much and I love how the amounts of different droids and beings continue to grow in these TV shows. More world-building again that enriches the fabric of the Galaxy.

The camera angles in this episode was something that I loved and adored. I know nothing of any technical aspects of shooting film, but I loved how they were different. From the small intimate settings of the Mod Shop and the awesome close-ups of Slave 1 hovering over the Sarlacc and been shown whilst changing positions and orientations, to larger scale shots of different angles of Jabba's Palace. Just loved this in this episode. And I loved how we saw a different side of Jabba's Palace (the back door / hangar) and the inside's of Slave 1. Really cool stuff.

And there was more too that I can't think of right now. And to top it all off, there is the mention of finding extra muscle next week; which will obviously include Din. I'm also hoping for the "whose who" of Bounty Hunters. Maybe Rex, Echo, Bad Batch (despite Fennec's previous entanglements), Night Owls?? The list could be quite long and next week could be a star-studded Star Wars line-up.

So my only gripe..... Firespray. Unbelievable and so disappointing. But enough said through gritted teeth.

Anyone think it was a bit odd that BK destroyed those Trandoshans, is now working for Boba Fett who had (who I presume to be) their Bosses in the palace a few scenes later with no bad blood...?

It was a tad clunky but I think you're overreacting a bit. It's more like saying "help me recover my Mercedes Benz" without all of the other specifications (you'd have more of a point if he'd said "help me recover my Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft").

In the real world, "help me recover my Lamborghini" conveys more urgency than "help me recover my car", simply because of the expensive connotations involved with the former. Just like saying that you want to steal a gunship suggests a very different undertaking than stealing, I don't know, an Star Tours bus. It's the classic kind of SW detail that means absolutely nothing in our universe but is obviously significant to the characters that we're watching.

Probably based on the Wookie pelt that one of them brought to Boba as a tribute. He probably heard that the Trandoshans had some pelts and were now enjoying themselves at the gambling house based off probably selling them in the underworld markets.

The most important part of this episode was the explanation of Boba’s motivation for starting a “house.” Nearly dying due to a decision by his powerful employer to host a frivolous public execution made him think “what the hell am I doing working for these schmucks?” And that, I believe, was the most relatable moment of the show (not to mention necessary for the audience to understand). Especially for me, who made a decision ten years ago to stop working for schmucks, and create my own thing.

Now we just need to see what exactly he intends to do with the House of Boba.

First off I loved the new kitchen droid and how there was a General Grievous reference

I appreciated seeing the LEP droid from TCW debut in live action - they are still as sneaky as ever.

So it turns out Bib Fortuna did have more security than originally implied and it must have took Boba a long time scouting the place to pull off him taking the throne.

I like the idea of Bib being the one who ordered the Nikto Bikers to kill the Tuskens, but this should have been explained more clearly on screen.

Not to mention it was very disapointing not having a scene of Bib Fortuna in rule of the palace.

I thought it was cool how Fennec was saved from death - the cyberpunk techno workshop was an interesting location.

I liked the twist of Krassantan seemingly being calmed down only to carry on as normal anyway.

I really hope the tease for allies at the end was for bounty hunters not Mandos. There are so many familiar Bounty Hunters that could show up, its exciting.

Up to now the series has done a good a good job of making the Pyke Syndicate feel threatening, they aren't as easy to dispose of as the Nikto bikers.

The Gammorrean Guards were made to look weak once again, I was hoping we were past that point in light of recent events.

That was really great worldbuilding. They’re essentially the underground tattoo artists of the GFFA. This sequence made the mods in the previous episode retrospectively better. I think it was the direction and the atmosphere. Rodriguez made them look like Nickelodeon characters - trust fund brat punks. This scene made them look a lot cooler. Goes to show what a big difference good directing can make.

ETA: I forgot to mention Garsa Fwip earlier. What an excellently-scripted and acted scene. Brava.

I will agree, I think the direction was improved this week and helped achieve that “Star Wars lived in universe” feel that Rodriguez just can’t quite get. His scenes just have a hint of fan film. That said, I still think he did amazing with the Tuskens. It was just the present set scenes that lacked polish.

So, given how many Fennec and Boba took out, this may explain the reason Boba’s palace feels so empty. Like that we did finally see EV-9D9 too. Sad he was taken out- I assume Bib never bothered to repair him.

Man, I'm such an outlier with this show. This one was easily my least-favorite of the four, it just felt so pedestrian somehow. Like a checklist of things to go through, ticking them off one by one with near-to-zero surprises in how it plays out. At last week had a little weirdness to it all and some "whoa" aces up its sleeve with the Hutt visit and the cameos and stuff.

Some real smile-worthy moments like the droids no doubt (loved the design on the rat-catcher guy and how all the close-ups were a practical animatronic), but...ehh. So much about it just felt neither-here-nor-there to me, like it's not offensive in the sense of being bad, just kind of uninspired and serviceable, a cog in the machine.

Gotta meet Fennec - check box. High five each other and come to a deal to track down Sl...an example of a model of Firespray gunship ( :p ) - check box. Use said gunship to predictably massacre the dastardly biker chumps - check box. Scope out the Sarlaac for some added fanservicey shenanigans (am I missing something here? He had his armor when he got out of the MF-er - wouldn't Boba put it together that someone took advantage of his less-than-optimal state there and robbed him of it nearby? Why does he think it's in ol' Digestyzilla again?) - check box. Current day, inch that Krrsantan subplot along a tiny smidge - check. A little more insight into the political state of affairs, tease a morsel of where it might go next - cool.

*Shrugs* Still feels like we're just scratching the surface of what could be a lot meatier material here.

Logic jumps are still a big problem also. Bib didn't hunker down and cover his bases, prepare with added goons/flunkies for a less-than-friendly visit by the Bobbster in the wake of having him (he has to know it was him, right?) ninja the palace and steal his old ride? Boba goes into the palace with...a gaffi stick and ****-all else? He's been into town a couple times since the Tusken days, and we see he has cash on him. Guy can't procure a blaster or three before his could-be-suicide mission?

Gotta say, other than the main theme I'm really hating the music in this show, too. There's the glaring/clashing Daft Punk **** with the modders which somehow doesn't work/fit for me at all, but even the incidental score stuff's pretty blahh. At least with Mando it's leaning heavily into the spaghetti-western vibe - Goransson ruins it with his lazy every-young-composer-nowadays crippling reliance on digital synths every 3 seconds, but the lion's share of the westerns stuff fits. Here things are just all over the place, and for the most part it just kinda feels sci-fi more generally rather than "Star Wars". The whole mod-shop thing overall didn't work for me though - and weirdly I enjoyed the gang last week bikes and all.

But I'm an old man yelling at clouds.

Did think the inevitable token Godfather-rip dinner summit scene worked pretty effectively. Wasn't expecting the Rancor shenanigans, was pretty fun.

*Edit - noticed a bit of dialogue at the end was off too, the Boba bit. "They are not foolish enough to see that the Pykes would eventually take over the whole planet." Shouldn't that be "foolish enough to not see"? Feels like a legit mistake/oversight rather than just weird wording, it straight up doesn't make sense.
