Honestly I don’t think anyone here that I have interacted over my seven years with has been bad. Minus the trolls. The longer the thread remains locked for the more likely there will be spill over. If the mods think they can handle that all so be it. It’s their choice.
It’s not my choice. I can complain about the existence of the thread as much as I want. But even if one person likes it. I think it should stay. Not saying I am not a suck up. Just saying I try to be the least confrontational I can be. Hence why I don’t post in the US political thread that often.
1. Although we're deploying humor hard as a coping mechanism in this thread, I don't really think it's working to smooth things over. 2. I don't really think that's about the politics thread at all, especially given that there was nothing particularly charged about the original discussion. Instead, there was a very weird serious of decisions to get very personal and amp up minor disagreements. Maybe that's what we should avoid in the future. 3. I don't know whom this was either fun or enlightening for, but I certainly wasn't in that group. If that's what we're doing these days count me out.
