You would at very least tune in for a moment to see what she was saying, if she was talking about it's your turn to do the dishes then tune back out. But considering she's going Obi Wan I opened a secret hatch for you... that might should clue you in on something. Or hear her choke out another officer behind you as you step over the dead body to get coffee.

I feel like there’s a delete scene of them coming up with the idea. Like Tala throws Obi-Wan the coat and he looks at her and says, “You can’t be serious.” Then the next shot is them walking toward the ship.
IMO, it was probably the worst part of the episode that could’ve been made better by a 10 second scene explaining their reasoning for doing it.

I think the scene still wouldnt have worked ultimately, but at least it would have actually added a bit of real comedy and levity to it. As it stands now it's unintentionally funny because it's being played Straight.

Not that new considering the pre-Disney EU version came out in 1994.

But Reva and Trilla aren't alike? :confused:That's like saying that Mace Windu and Yoda are the same because they are both high ranked Jedi. Except for the absolute bare minimum there's no resemblance character wise

Ha! I know, right? Also why didn't opening up the hatch send off any red flags? "Huh, some rando I've never seen before sat down next to me at work today and randomly opened up a hatch while whispering to somebody over the radio but I'm sure it's okay!" What?

Also let's not forget that in Jedi:Fallen Order Cal ALSO swam into the same hatch five years earlier! The Empire learned nothing from that?

Yeah the inquisitors in Rebels were fine but a little goofy. Respawn made them interesting, cool and intimidating, in fallen order. This interpretation of the inquisitors is my least favorite of the three by far. I really feel bad for the other girl Inquisitor, has she had more than one line of dialogue in any one episode so far?

I was actually shocked how bad this episode was. On top of all the dumb nonsensical stuff happening, the constant shaky camera almost made me feel ill.

Indeed. The inquisitors haven't really done anything on this show but stand around and get annoyed at Reva. I don't think we've seen any of them even fire up a lightsaber. Seriously, has there been a moment where Fast and Furious Guy and Other Girl Inquisitor have done anything?

The writers of the books, comics, and some of the games (Like JFO) seem to have more freedom to tell more complex stories precisely because they are under the radar of these Powers That Be. I would recommend checking them out if you haven’t already.

I will say again if the budget for each episode is really 25 million dollars, I don't know what a lot of it was spent on. It does not show up on screen to me. this is the most cheap-looking show by far to me as a whole. I thought the opening of episode 1 looked great with a flashback to the Jedi Temple and the younglings and most of episode 1 as a whole looked really good. but it's been downhill ever since then.

Maybe the desire to make everything as practical as possible is actually slowing down progression.

I actually think it's the volume and how it limits things. that's one reason I'm more excited about andor, correct me if I'm wrong but I think most of that show was filmed on real sets and on locations.

The volume has its uses. But it definitely has its limitations as well

Really liked the first three episodes, but this one was definetely a dud. In my opinion it was simply boring and that is a real trend with those 30 minute episodes. The short episodes of the live action shows always feel disjointed and are often boring and I don't understand why. I really love the animated shows, especially Bad Batch and they show that you can tell really good Star Wars stories in 20 minutes. If a live action show knocks out a short episode it's almost a guarantee it is the worst of the season. This episode really offered up nothing of major intrest, the action scenes were pretty flat and there was no major Obi-Wan character development either. Maybe the show would have been better off with 5 episodes. After three really good episodes, I really hope they return to form next week.

At one point in Rebels he and another inquisitor, using the Force in tandem, were able to temporarily Force-hold a ship that was trying to escape. In light of that his lack of action here is even more galling.

The five stages of Disney Star Wars grief:

    1. The writing is perfectly fine
    2. Most complaints are nitpicks
    3. It makes sense if you’ve read all the supplementary material
    4. People made the same complaints about the prequels and are toxic for pointing out flaws.
    5. Star Wars was never good.

And then you join the JCC. Cause no one likes Star Wars there.
