Vader coming in hot with all the burns this series. The only guy who's been able to keep up has been cranky Owen.

With each episode I become more convinced that this isn't JEJ's voice at all, but HC's voice digitally made to sound like JEJ using that Respeecher software (someone made this point before me somewhere on this forum--sorry I forgot who). I have to say it works wonderfully.

I'm really curious how much of the Vader scenes is actually Hayden in the suit because if 90% is truly him, guys he's killing it. Really would put to bed all the criticisms he endured with his first physical movements in the suit at the end of ROTS.

Which I've never really understood. In that moment, he's figuring out how to use his new cybernetics, it makes sense to me that he'd be stiff and uncoordinated.

Isn't this the explicit reason Hayden didn't practice walking around beforehand?

I'm in the same boat. There are just little clues sprinkled around with certain inflections on words beginning with the "killed" in "You should have killed me" and I think it would be awesome if it's all HC's voice with the respeecher.

So far, the stunt doubles and leakers are both claiming that it's more the stunt doubles and less Hayden in the suit which I think is bs. Let Hayden wear the suit and do the lightsaber fights. He worked his butt off. I am sure he's in there somewhere. He did an interview today where they asked him what its like to be put in the suit and he said there's a 3-4 person team that assists and it takes 20-30 minutes to get it all together. So he has to have been in it somewhere in this series.

Saw something on IG about Hayden being in the suit for the fire scene so good on him for standing next to an inferno to get a scene done.

It's also fitting --- in-universe it's Anakin's voice modulate by a voice synthesizer, right. So it makes sense that OOU it's the same thing.

My guess is that they have one guy for the fighting shots, one (big) guy for the shots where we see him in full length standing next to other people, and Hayden for head-plus-upper-body closeups when Vader is talking, or when he's in shot alone.

Its NOT HC's voice. Its JEJ, digitally enhanced to make him sound younger. Search Google.

Also, Vader in the suit is played by two guys, Tom O'Connell and Dimitrius Bistrevsky. Again a Google search will confirm. HC fans absolutely can not accept this, It amazes me. I was skeptical about him being in this series, but I've watched that flashback duel with Obi Wan two or three times now, and Ive changed my mind, its amazing. He did a great job with that, nailed it in fact.

It was zero days ago, when I found out that there are people who have criticized that. Is this for real? There is a human being with an actual brain on this planet that did not understand he is supposed to look exactly like a dude who has just been placed in a robotic suit and is walking with mechanical limbs for the first time in his life?
I thought this was obvious from the first nanosecond of that scene. I do feel pleasantly amused though. It's not every day that I get to hear a new complaint about something in the prequels.

But not really. They are most certainly not brothers by blood, but also they have literally only spent a few minutes together.

A simple google search (or multiple hours of promotional footage and interviews) will also tell you that there are multiple scenes where Hayden is in the suit as well. No need to go personal with "Hayden fans cannot accept this", what does that even mean. Who gets offended because other people praise someone for their work because maybe not all of that work was his?

And for an actor who has received an enormous amount of online hating and bullying, as much as it is to his credit that he ignored all of that ****, I am pretty sure it's ok if people give him praise for his performance as Vader in the suit, even if he hasn't filmed all those scenes. He has definitely filmed some. So, since we don't know which, we can just praise all 3 people (Hayden and the 2 stuntmen) for how awesome Vader looks/acts in the suit.

I honestly don’t mind who plays Vader in the suit all that much, as the costume is so iconic and a character all to itself. Hayden is Anakin first foremost, and he has reprised that role a number of times already in the show.

I’m also not concerned with who or how many people puts on the suit, or who plays/voices Anakin or Vader. It’s a fictional character for ****’s sake.

But I do appreciate it when the result is good. And this show is doing a bang-up job with Vader’s physical presence. The way he moves, fights and talks is very… on point. Someone in Lucasfilm took the time and care to think of all these little geek details about Vader, and it’s a pleasure to watch as a fan.

Vader here is even better than in Rogue One (which I also enjoyed very much), I’m impressed.

Too much tolerance and eternal attempts to twist around so as not to offend someone.
This is the scourge of Europe and America.

You know, it's even easier not to cling to words.

    @Merlyn Emerald
    You’re taking it too seriously.
There are some psychology field-exclusive words that were unfortunately appropriated and normalized by the public after decades-long of misunderstanding, mockery, and stigmatization of mental illness, and there’s no harm in acknowledging that.

Besides, the English language is rich with descriptive words you can use in place. ;)

Anakin walking through the Jedi Temple with his blue sabre is still the biggest horrific gut punch from the character’s arc. Pretty amazing we got more from that sequence yesterday, 17 years after ROTS.

It's hard not to react seriously when someone constantly cling to any word that offends one, then another, then the third, then the tenth. Too often I've run into this kind of "let's feel sorry for everyone in the world." That's why I decided to answer. The most important thing is freedom of speech, not seeking out epithets out of unwillingness to offend someone. Yes, schizophrenia is bad, and this word has different negative connotations. Because it's not sad, it's a really dangerous disease. I believe that everyone has the right to write what they want, as long as it doesn't get personal, that is insults directly.

    OK, sorry, that's it, I'm doing a flood. I'm silent. [face_shhh]
    Lord Vader forever!

Considerate people don't have to twist around to be nice. It's second nature.

If it's such a chore for someone to think of others before they speak, if others' call for consideration offends them so much that they have to speak up against it (and this is not about you personally, lots of people do it), then I call their priorities into question.

Freedom of speech is very important, but it doesn't protect you from criticism. Those who disagree also have the right to speak their mind, you see.
