Sounds like fun though.

 

I love the Godzilla films, no matter how corny some are, they make me smile every time I see Godzie and hear that music.

 

I liked it quite a lot! Very entertaining.
And really enjoyed my rewatch of Destroy All Monsters. Eleven kaiju!
Wish they were onscreen more though.

My least favorite so far is All Monsters Attack. It's like a 70 minute kids program with reused fight footage.

 

Godzilla vs Megalon is probably my least favorite of the older films.

 

Same, he feels like Gigan and Mothra mash up.

 

Megalon is on my list of 3 or 4 Showa I still need to see.

Rewatched Godzilla vs Hedorah too.
That's an interesting one. Very psychedelic at times too.
I liked it much better the second time, probably because I saw it on blu ray from the Criterion Collection set.

A few years ago I got really ripped off by Amazon buying what I thought was a legit copy of Hedorah on DVD and it was a horrible bootleg transfer with an awful dub. Can't believe I was stupid enough to waste 25 bucks on that.

 

Godzilla: Pick me!

 

Astro-Monster is really fun. Enjoyed that a lot. And Ebirah, Son of, and Destroy All Monsters. That's a really good run in the mid 60s there!

Next up, I'm gonna rewatch Godzilla vs Gigan.

 

I like Gigan but its one of the weaker ones. They use old Ghidorah footage.

 

Sorry for the double post but I would love to see behind the scenes footage of Godzilla on a trampoline.

But you can tell. Ghidorah looks much cheaper when they show him. Then they show aerial footage of him destroying the cities from older films and it looks much better.. Toho was trying to cut costs at this time. I still like it.

Vs Megalon was like the 2nd Showa I saw and even though I was 12 or so I really didn't like it. What gets me about is that movie is that, for the most part, it seems to be rated near the bottom of all the movies yet Megalon keeps being used in video games, that board game from a few years ago ect. For a movie that's not popular he really gets around.
