A down week for me. Andor scaling that cliff and then getting stuck in Spider-Man's web kind of felt like he wandered into the sequel trilogy. And this far in I would like more development to the relationship between Mon and her daughter than the latter just sending yet another suspicious look from across the room. And something about the Saw Gerrera character never really clicked for me in the first place, and on top of that he feels tacked on to me in this series.

Probably only the second episode I just didn't like.

It felt like a bit of an emotional letdown after last week, but that's to be expected. Overall it set everything up nicely for the finale. 8/10

Fantastic episode. Loved the aliens, loved the Luthan/Saw scene, loved Mothma stuff and Luthan's escape was awesome. Truly brilliant episode.

lol when the episode ended I couldn't believe it was already over! This one in particular felt like it didn't really tell a full story. Not really a criticism I guess since the story the episode did tell was great, but I think this is one that will best be paired with its second half when watching in the future.

Did they not flip our star field upside down for the night scenes on Tatooine in TPM?

great episode, can’t wait to watch the show all at once

just to focus on one thing I really like about this series, there’s many things to like but alas, I love the visuals for the space action sequences, and Luthen taking on a freighter and the accompanying tie fighters more or less rather easily was amazing

between this last episode and the episode where they escape from the heist through the meteor shower, oh man I’m really wanting the people working on this show to make some sort of x-wing show, or wraith squadron show, or heck even a tie fighter show, especially given the high quality dialogue and writing

I really hope they release a lego version complete with all the little gadgets because that is one cool ship.

This week’s nerdgasm goes to Luthen cutting those fighters up with a laser spin. I actually let out a very loud audible ‘Ha!’ seeing that. It’s like a trick the Inquisitors might have in their arsenal. That whole sequence was majestic and very TESB.

9/10. Slow burner with lots of space to digest the gravity of what’s happened and is about to happen.

Loved the ending with Cassian looking out over the ocean, just like in Rogue One, but here it’s to mark the start of his true alliance with the cause.

The Mon Mothma scenes continue to be among my favourite. Genevieve O’Reilly knocked it out the park this week.

Got to admit, I’m not ready for this season to end next week. Or for the show to be finished next season for that matter. It is so good.

Yeah, with a little Lego Luthen. That way @The Regular Mustache can practice murdering him in various ways, to satisfy his bloodlust. :)

This discussion is putting me in mind of the epic rant Neil DeGrasse Tyson had about the night sky in Titanic when Rose is lying there on the board in the water looking up at it, and it's this completely made up sky, with one half of it being a mirror image of the other, and no part of it bearing resemblance to any part of the real sky.

Then in the Titanic special edition that came out around 2012 suddenly the sky was perfect - it was a completely astronomically correct depiction of the sky as it would have appeared above Titanic's wreck site at around 2am on April 15, 1912. And Cameron IIRC said he fixed it because of Tyson going off about it.

Not my favourite episode, as said above, it sets up the finale for an all-action ending,,, though I'm not sure that'll happen.

Maarva has been turned into a brick.

Need Vegas odds on that brick either being thrown at an Imperial or used to violently bludgeon one to death.

Quite a good episode. I'm loving the arc with Luthen and Saw. It was also sad to see that Maarva had died. I'm looking forward to the final episode.

    I gave the episode a 7/10.

It was a fine episode; just nothing overly spectacular for me. It was mostly dialogue scenes; Luthen's escape from the Imperial surveillance not withstanding. That was actually an exciting scene, and we got to see some cool weapons from his ship as he outmaneuvered the TIEs. No word on what happened to the other prisoners who jumped into the ocean. After meeting up with some ugly aliens, Cassian is already back to that beach planet. Either we'll find out in the next episode what happened, or maybe next season..or never? So Maarva passes away, and the ISP wants Ferrix to go all out on a funeral in the hope that it'll attract Cassian back. He only learns about her death by calling in securely. I'd say it's up in the air if he's willing to chance showing up there. You'd assume he'd be smart enough to know that the Imperials would be waiting for him with a trap. You'd imagine that the finale will end with some sort of spectacular cliffhanger. Could it involve what happens to that Kreegyr fellow? We'll see.

What do you mean, find out what happened? They dropped him off on on Niamos, like Cassian asked.

I'm still not sure that Maarva is actually dead, and this whole thing isn't an excuse to get everyone together at the same time to stage a revolt.

I think, like many funerals for anti-establishment figures in history, Maarva's funeral will lead to a riot. Many rioters will be murdered by Imperial security forces and this will ultimately be a catalyst for broader rebellion - another Aldhani.

I generally agree with this post, as the Mon Mothma subplot is one of the most interesting in this show to me, but "selling off her daughter to a criminal" is such a hyperbole :p If anything, Mon Mothma is FAR more of a criminal than he is. He just handles money, she indirectly caused the death of people and will definitely cause many more deaths in her future. I am not judging her, after all Saw said it, let's call it war. But to present him as the "bad dude" in this case is just not accurate. On a sidenote, her daughter sadly seems that she might actually be super happy to "be sold" for an arranged wedding. She might actually be sad if her mom didn't want to arrange her like that.
Please don't ruin Andor for me, I got a sour taste on my mouth just because you mentioned that overhyped and overrated **** here. But I guess on the other hand maybe Ozark is really good, I should check it out.
I don't know, I don't even remotely consider Andor the highest quality show possible, and I still feel pretty lucky that we're getting it. It's a nice way to have more Star Wars in my life before Ahsoka and Mando 3 come along.
I guess maybe they Couldn't do it Well in the past, but now that they Can, Well, they made it.
