It's obvious what it's about: former Nazis, Operation Paperclip, Toby Jones's character.

It's about Jones trying to stop Emil Zola from reestablishing HYDRA, but as we see in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, that effort failed.

    :p

They're going to cross over with Star Wars. Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character is Rey's mother!

The Dial of Destiny is the controls of the de-aging machine which only Kathleen Kennedy is allowed to touch: “I remember seeing Harrison walk onto the set years ago like it was yesterday, so that was the memory I referenced as I turned the knob left and right.”

@The Regular Mustache It is the next logical step of crapness.

And perhaps they at least get to recycle this great line from "The Right Stuff"

Haha. I guess if you announce each week is Kathleen Kennedy’s last week you eventually get it right.

Doomcock is my favorite because anyone who quotes him instantly reveals how stupid they are. With the other huxters making up stuff to chase views it’s not so instantaneously obvious they are frauds.

So if the rumor is true then I guess that means Indy and/or Phoebe's character will be
traveling into the future and not the past?

James Mangold is like the modern director that makes movies oozing masculinity your dad likes to watch.

    Ford V Ferrari
    Walk the Line
    Logan
    3:10 To Yuma
    Indiana Jones

Etc. etc. I’m NOOOOTTTTTTTT a dude that whines about wokeness, I’m just saying that making an Indiana Jones movie where he is “constantly being lectured about privilege” and then gives his hat and whip to a woman is, uh… not exactly in alignment with Mangold’s style. :p You can have masculinity without it being toxic, and that’s what Mangold embodies. So to me the rumors are just “rage bait” mongering nonsense.

Off topic, but I thought No Time to Die was pretty good.
I was legitimately worried the movie was gonna be called “Indiana Jones” or “Indy” or something dumb like that

My concern is they're taking too much of a sci-fi direction with this franchise now, from two creators already well established in that genre.

Indiana Jones works as a great contrast to Star Wars & Close Encounters/ET, it's an old school action-adventure serial about ancient treasures & occult in far flung places.
I want to see Indy crawling through old temples and digging up relics. He can fight mummies and giant spiders and ancient mythical beings if he wants but it should stay in that realm.

Aliens and interdimentional travel etc is too much toward sci-fi for me, seen enough of that.

As for whether he'll be replaced, I don't think so.
We already have Lara Croft to fill the female Indy slot, plenty of story potential for her to do similar things without altering an already established character.
