At the moment I'm watching The English, a western with Emily Blunt. Very good, wonderful scenery and top acting as should be expected. Also Tokyo Vice, a show set in 90s Japan starring Ansel Elgort & Ken Watanabe. Looking forward to the finale of His Dark Materials and hoping for more Line of Duty to return
Any other Britbox subscribers here? I'm not an original subscriber, but I'm close. I signed up as soon as I first heard about it, which wasn't long after it became available in 2017.
I'm old school. My library has a lot of TV series, and whenever I see something at Goodwill that is British I usually get it. I picked up a season of Vera, which looks good. And of course I own Fawlty Towers.
We watched the first few episodes, and yes, it's very good, but the exterior cinematography is driving us up the wall - particularly when the Sun completely (and very obviously) changes direction 3 or 4 times within a single scene, that just takes you right out of the moment. On a very different topic, though, yesterday we saw an ad for the (completely unexpected) Detectorists special that will air on Boxing Day!!!
just binged broadchurch a few months ago, and really loved it. catch episodes of other bbc shows here and there on pbs masterpiece as often as i can.
